WOW! I think this video speaks for itself, even tough it is dark and shit. As far as i can see there is nothing like an electric motor below the stator or anything else which will spin the whole stuff except the magnets and the screws.
Mount the stator magnets with a solid bracket so you don't have to hold it & have it get pulled out of your grip by the magnets and smack into the rotor! That and some proper lighting, and you might get a few more believers on board! At least try to make it look a little more professional!
If you used a reed switch to turn on the battery powered motor, hidden in the stand, then you wouldn't need to hold the thing still at the start and wouldn't give away the fact that it's fake. Great joke all the same.

Permanent magnets carries a constant unchanged potential that does not change. Therefor the all permanent magnet motors on YouTube are non-working devices. @p35kyg0d the magnet gets the iron nails moving fast so when the magnets get too close to the unit, it quickly snaps to the nails but due to the speed, the bar slides along the nails and hits the heads of the next set, causing it to bounce or skip. A self-centering lathe chuck would work really well here. Also, a pinion gear or worm-gear will work too.
I'm going to do a modified experiment combining this device and the SEG device to see how well it works with diametrically magnetic rollers.
