I know this is a cover of the original, but I have been confused all these years as to why it was omitted from the soundtrack release. I soley bought the soundtrack to hear this track, and was not there. Lame!
I watched this movie early this morning, and man. This movie actually really sucked. I am still trying to figure out how did Burgamele find out about Dent. How did Foley get away with so much nonsense? Rosewood went from the cop that was clearly cautious to a gun toting dirty harry wannabe. Taggert was just.... the fat ass there. Chief Lutz was a waisted character. I hope on part 4 they involve Jeffery's character more than just the comedic white guy
This isnt the movie score version. A shame. The proper 12" bad boys was the one they used in the movie, but they used the instrumental version, which is much better than this one. This one is not the same. go watch the movie, the movie version is way better than this one. serch it on bearshare and you will find the correct version, which is awsome
As cool as it is to hear this theme so many years later, the fact is it was a complete rip-off of "The Duke Arrives" from Escape From New York. When I first saw the film in theater all those years ago I just thought to myself that I hoped John Carpenter had his attorney on speed dial......
very close i agree and even similar in the drum loop.who knows, maybe even carpenter had a say in the score for this movie?.who's to say not?.good point tho.
@strathacker Yeah I'm just waiting to see Lady Gaga rip off the look Brigette Neilsen sported in the film. Oh wait she did that already right? I agree with you it was a cheap rip off.
@strathacker Daaamn, THATS were i knew it from! Its been bugging me for years, everytime i heard this theme i knew i got it from somewhere.... Thanks for clearing that up for me :P
You have simply made my life with this theme. I have been looking for this exact trheme since 1984 and 26 yrs later I found it. THANK YOU !!!! THIS IS NOT A JOKE!!!!
Yep, this is it, "eat the floor...now"..

Identical to John Carpenter's track - definite plagiarism!
davko79 4 months ago
@davko79 I agree. Check the running man main theme (from Faltermeyer), you'll see that it has also plagiarezed the Fog main theme from Carpenter.
