It's in Yelm Washington but there are survival stores like this springing up all over the place. I just googled up stores in your state and there are several. One is in Janesville but there are others. If you call one of them and they're too far away they might be able to tell you about one that is closer to you.

I highly recommend visiting such a store in person. You can really see and inspect what you're buying.

@lordbradford1 yes we have guns but shop owners do not carry them if they opened fire they would be arrested for attempted murder ! the police do not carry guns either only if they are the 'special' police i.e at the airport or if they are called in to take out a crazed gun man or something like that . the regular police do not carry guns ...

there for in this situation people from the UK would try it on and take the stock .

Buy some lignocaine cream like Dr Numb so you can numb the wound so you can clean the wound and then suture it. Great video.

When I just want one or two things I order online but if I want many cans of freeze dried food or big buckets of wheat or beans I drive down. If the cost of shipping is smaller than the price of the gas by a significant margin, I drive. Remember your time is worth something too.

And yes the single life has it's pros and cons. After weighing the risks, the costs and the rewards I decided the whole marriage thing wasn't for me. For a lot of other people (maybe 25% of those who do it), it's worth it though.

DAMN,.. $80 for a gas mask, and $45 for the filter??? That's ridiculous, you can find those and better ones for $20 to $30 bucks.

Looking online you could get a better idea as to who has the best deals.

Ya, they were spendy.

One of the best features of that place is that you can load up on prepacked and sealed buckets of grain and beans. And if you live rather close as I do, you don't have to pay shipping (which can be expensive on the heavy stuff).

Ya, it's cool to be able to browse through the shelves and see things that you wouldn't have otherwise known that you wanted. Not paying shipping is cool too. When I load up a bunch of wheat and beans the shipping could be substantial. Since you live in Tacoma, it's not a huge distance to get there.

With that radar alone we're talking about enough power to cook a frozen turkey pretty quick, yet planes and the people inside of them carry on without any effects. @vention4wh aircraft that encounter lighting strikes routinely as well as static electricity build up and discharge from atmosphere friction. Those are not light weight electrical events. And I will also add that aircraft are always in line with radar fields. And I'm not talking about the airborne radar the aircraft have on board which is enough to cook a mans nuts in a second. It would take a nuclear warhead detonation to produce an EMP strong enough to knock planes out of the sky. Homemade EMP's would not pose a significant risk. Here are some reasons. First, planes are themselves kind a faraday cage. I don't know about the new composite planes, but aluminum hulled aircraft are. Their electronics are separated from CONT.

It's south of Tacoma, in the yelm area.

I get the impression they do most of their business through mail order and online so they prefer that you call ahead so they can make sure the store is open for you. If you're ordering buckets of wheat or other heavy goods they can have it moved from the warehouse to the store for you. Their 800 number is in the more info area.

Years ago I had a friend who was addicted to crack. One of his crack dealers stabbed him so he went to the local drug store looking for sutures. They couldn't help him so he sewed himself up with a needle and thread and bandaged his abdomen with duct tape. If I hadn't seen it myself I wouldn't have believed it.

Uprated. Really enjoyed this! I would like to do barter for Dr. Bronner's soap. Heavy to ship and impossible to find in France -- have to order it from England at great cost. Can advise on many subjects. My website gives some idea, not all. Those shovels look great!  DEMCAD wants a washboard, I see them here. The apple coring device is essential for schnitzing. No gadgets needed beyond that. Easy to dry on a string. Cheese must be limited but it is very satisfying. Good vid!

The administrative aspects were so hellish my French family begged me to not do it. It has taken me over a year and a half just to set up my EURL and I am still not finished yet! I've heard of doing this but those stainless steel berkeys are pretty darn cool looking. I think I'll wait till next month and get the real thing.

I have a big industrial water filter kit that I bought back in 2007. I could purify thousands of gallons of water with it but it's not as elegant as the Birkey (it's a heck of a lot faster though).

I'm doing pretty well but the kicker is I live way below my means. I was too ugly and geeky to get married so I never had a wife who demanded a big house or a new car, I never had to pay child support, and I don't have any kids to put through collage. And now that the condo is paid off my total spending for the average month (not including survival center shopping sprees) works out to about 30% of my take home pay. The single life isn't paradise but it's not without it's advantages.
