it's not Hangar 18. The chords on Hangar 18 move all upwards on the guitar neck and are based around D minor. This song starts in C5 and moves up and down the guitar neck in small steps or variations. The tempo is kind of similar though.

It's similar, but not exact in the rhythm guitars to Hangar 18. There's extra notes and it's in a different scale so I'm not agreeing with that. Just because a few intervals are the same and they do fast open strumming doesn't mean it's the same or even an altered composition. The leads are WAY different as well.
