  • Nothing compared to Goliath

  • So its nice to see what the rollercoaster does while your on it because to be honest i close my eyes until the giant sideways bank thing you go through bc the first hill on this ride is crazy!! And not having anything to hold you but a little ball with handles isn't quite comforting!!

  • behemoth is the original and better.

  • Behemoth is better

  • @Gforceorange How? They are basically the same thing and the same height.

  • @keatrobot i guess i never rode on diamond back...but laviathan in canada's wonderland is going to be much better check it out

  • @Gforceorange Well just the height makes it better....that's all.

  • This ride looks ace I would love to ride it

  • We went there yesterday I was 2 scared to ride

  • i rode this yesterday, it is awesome!

  • i LOOOOVEEEEE this ride. it was so so so so so much fun. :)

  • i am going this weekend yay!

  • @goodrider1 good for you...just try and flag the rest of them then ;3 There are hundreds, and they're hidden and scattered across the Internet. I doubt you'll get them all.

  • I work for the park and this is illegal. Im flagging this.

  • best coaster ever

  • God that first drop... :'(

  • I love this coaster! It makes you feel like you are flying, and the scenery (the trees and stuff) is really pretty!

  • I rode this ride a few days ago and I was like,

    "HHHOOWWW MAAANNNYYY HIIILLLSSS AARRRREEE TTTHHHEEERRREE?!"

  • Can't wait to go on this. ive been to cedar point countless times but never kings island and im a goin this friday

  • This was my first roller coaster ever!

  • I'm a little disappointed this ride doesn't have an official POV done by Cedar Fair.

  • I. LOVE. Diamondback. Best coaster I've been on thus far!! :-D

  • the drop isnt as bad as everyone thinks it is

  • I went on this ride 8 times in a row XD

  • I'm really surprised Kings Island doesn't have more B&M coasters. The fabrication plant for track is literally 15 minutes down the road.

  • this ride is amazing do not let the first hill keep u from ridding this it is so smooth

  • i love coasters! thumbs up if youre with me!!!!!!

  • You're flying out of your seat for most of this ride. BUT IT'S STILL AWESOME!

  • compared to the firehawk, this is nothing.i mean sur its taller and faster, but the firehawk completely screws with ur head bcuz u can't c wut ur doing.the track could b gone and u wuldn't no!its frikkin awesome!all the diamondback has is speed and height

  • @tjbreeze33 This is way more intense, and you would know if you have ridden it. The airtime is insane. If you sit in row 16 its even more insane.

  • @F18Productions i realize that i'm just saying u wuld think there wuld b at least 1 loop

  • @tjbreeze33 Well B&M Hypers NEVER have inversions. So no, I would not think there would be 1 loop.

  • @tjbreeze33 have you ridden diamondback

  • @OMGWTFBBQx10 yes and the speed is insane but i

m saying that in my opinion the firehawk is way more extreme

  • @tjbreeze33 Na dude Firehawk is original because you lay down on it, but the Diamondback is the best. Its fast, big and just the shit

  • @Bschierloh23 Firehawk is not original there are other coasters with the same track layout and trains. Like Night Hawk.

  • @LegoThemeparkCrazy I didnt know. But its different from evey ride at Kings island

  • @Bschierloh23 Thats true, but Diamondback is a top 10 steel coaster! Thats pretty cool to me.

  • @LegoThemeparkCrazy Yea its my favorite ride at the park. Its definatley worth the wait

  • i love this ride it is the freakin amazing ride at kings island

  • such an awesome ride!!!

  • this ride is freaking amazing:DD

  • i rode it on monday it is way faster and fun when u ride it and its kind of scarier and get this my cuzin and me were in th 3rd seat a peace of gum flew and hit his cheeck on the first hill and stayed on 4 2 seconds

  • i might ride it this time i go

  • @catclan2 Oh man, you've gotta ride it.

  • i havnt ridden diamond back yet but after i get my cast off my leg i'm gonna ride every rollercoaster in the park

  • intimidator

  • It's a pretty good ride, not as intense as I thought it would be.

  • Can you believe the first drop on The Beast is steeper than DB's? Only by one degree but still... :/

  • This ride is INSANE

  • ...I just get sick from watching. *nauseated*

  • This ride is AMAZING! I rode my first rollercoaster yesterday and this is what i rode after that!

  • I love this ride not as intense and turbulent as I thought very smooth and full of thrills

  • ive rode both behemoth and diamondback by far diamondback is better, it may look the same on paper but diamondbck throws behemoth outta the water

  • ive rode it so many times its so fun! its 20 min from my house im gunna miss it whan i move

  • @lax1player6

Same here!! It's like 20 minutes from my house :) Maybe less :)

Aww, you're moving? :( I plan to live in Ohio for a long time...

My bf and I are getting our passes processed tomorrow and we're going on Saturday for Opening Day :))

    Gotta love Kings Island.

  • one time when i was on this in the station when we were getting off my restraint would go up, and i was like "oh no! wait, yeah! i'm gonna ride this forever!" then a ride attendant came and pushed a button or something and got it up. :)

  • This is one of favorite coasters of all time. The front seat is the best, I rode in the front 3 times. Its so smooth too.

  • You can't even breathe on the first hill!!! This ride is so amazing and next time I go back I'll have to get the courage to ride it again

    Super awesome ride! (:

  • @Myminirexisthumper

I've been on it like 20 times! It's best to wait a little bit between each ride if you want to get the thrill every time. I rode it every day for like a week, maybe twice a day, and eventually I stopped getting butterflies! I was like "Oh no! D:" Haha. But it's awesome every. Single. time.

  • This is the second best coaster I have ever been on!

Number one being "Maverick" at Cedar Point.

  • @bengalguy88 i love maverick the launch in the middle is so cool my favorite roller coaster is X2 and my second is millennium force!

  • I rode that it was soo fun i almost sharded my self it was to fun and we sat at the VERY FRONT. First seat is the scariest by a mile!!!!!!

  • does it have and inward first drop?

  • looks like fun. never been on it but have been on nitro at six flags great adventure which is a lot alike this coaster

  • Judging by what I'm seeing it seems pretty stupid. All you do is go up and drop down a bunch of times. Is it more fun than it looks?

  • Adding in the speed, air, forces and area you are traveling, it's actually really really fun.

  • man, that thing is HUGE. it is a lot of fun.

  • @some64 You're saying that because you probably don't know why there are only hills. Airtime. When you fly out of your seat over a hill. This has a lot of it.

  • @TeamApparition yeah i just rode this ride like 2 weeks ago i know wat u mean

  • The line wait is worth it! This is the best coaster at Kings Island. I still can't believe I rode it! I'm glad I did though. Can't wait to do it again!

  • BEST RIDE ON THE PLANET!

    PERIOD.

  • home sweet home!!

  • Ive been on this rollercoaster!! it is so awesome!!!

  • I've been on this coaster front seat, and it is fucking awesome.

  • i loove this ride if you ahvent rode it go to kings island! its the best ride ever if u like thrill rides

  • I rode this ride 5 times a few weeks ago. It is by far the best ride at Kings Island. If you haven't rode it you should really check it out.

  • wow wow is looks realy cool

  • #1. Intimidator will be at least 70 feet tall er than D-back.

#2. Intimidator's and D-Backs layouts are radically different.

#3. Intimidator will be constructed by INTAMIN(a contraction of "International Amusement Installers), unlike D-Back, which was built by B&M of Switzerland.

Sisters they certainly are not. Please do some research before making uneducated statements.

Awesome? Both certainly are and will be.

  • I think YOU need to do some research before you make any statements. Looks like Intimidator IS a B&M Coaster and is not that different from Diamondback, minus some elements. :)

  • I personally would rather compare the B&M Intimidator to this ride, since it's a B&M. And also, intimidator305, being a giga coaster, will have a completely different style.

  • You're a dumb ass the coaster going to carowinds is b&m hyper similar to this one. You go do some research.

  • I already resolved that several weeks ago. Unfortunately even with this wonderful thing called the internet I failed to realize there were TWO Intimidator coasters launching next spring. One is an Intamin GIGA similar in size to Millennium Force up in Sandusky. I just wasn't aware of the B&M project, that's all.

  • how high is the drop?

  • The very first drop is 215 feet at a 74-degree angle. I assure you this information is correct because I have a Kings Island map with the Diamondback's information on it.

  • @WritingAngel09 nothin lik eliving an hour away from there

  • @WritingAngel09 ya its the same as Behemoth

  • @deathman0967 Actually its different from Behemoth. Yeah, its a B&M Sitdown Hyper, but the layout is completely different.

  • Intimidator will likely be a bit better simply because of the added twists but they're so similar that it will be very subjective.

  • intimidator at carowinds will be much better

  • no, I think it'll be pretty much the same experience

  • No way! Intimidator at Carowinds will have way more airtime. Its all about the for that coaster. Intimidator 305 at Kings Dominion is more about the sensation of pure speed. Think about it. Intimidator 305 rarely goes close to its original height, unlike the one at Carowinds. Rides may be similar, but only certain ones like Batman at all the Six Flags are identical.

  • Intimidator at CW will be a much different coaster from the one at KD. The CW one is a B&M Hyper coaster, just like Diamondback. The one at KD will be a 305 ft tall Intamin giga coaster.

Great POV! I havent' been on any of the newer B&M hypers. This looks like a really good one!

  • this is the same as behmoth in canadas wonderland

  • me and my buddy went on this 20 times in 1 day

  • Looks like a pretty good ride. But it is a B&M hyper, so that went without saying

  • u no ......... this is just the behemoth except a little longer. the comercials are the same tooooooooooooooooooooo.

  • nothing special... just like nitro

  • The only real difference is a better helix, and the hills don't turn half way through, which gives more airtime. Then ending is different too though.

  • how can a helix be "better" and El toro still has enough air time to cover for Nitro

  • That's a different ride. Nitro's helix before the brake is way to long. Leave El Toro out of it.

  • I'm just saying that Nitro does not have a lot of airtime and whats wrong with a long helix

  • It doesn't have lots of airtime? I thought from videos it would've given at least some floater. But I just don't like it's helix personally. I don't want to sit through an element too long. *shrug*

  • its got some airtime... the first drop is amazing and two of the hills have turns which totally destroyes the airtime... but its ok... you should come to Great Adventure... make a overnight trip from Ohio (if you live there)... its a very fun park

  • Yea I've thought about it, but it's about 10 hours so everyone would have to agree on it. And I'd probably go to Hershey park to for that long of a trip.

  • you could make it like a three day trip... go to six flags one day... maybe the beach the next day and then go to hershey on the way back

  • There's no real difference between most hyper coasters. I mean they're all about speed and airtime, different layouts....but that's what they do.

  • This ride was absolutley AMAZING! I still can't believe I had the guts to go on it. And, I'm glad I did! I hope to go back to King's Island soon.

  • I WAS IN THAT SAME SEAT!! me and my friend got there at 9 (gold passes) and we rode in every car. it was fucking awesome addicting as hell! who agrees?

  • Comment removed

  • wat do you mean your ride

  • your too paranoid man, i tape on rides all the time, never had a problem, never will have a problem...MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS

  • What the fuck?

  • wtf. dude this is just for fun chill out...

  • this makes a really creepy noise, kind of like a ghost!

  • Has anyone rode this in the very last seat? Do you get wet? Are their any lighting efffects at night Like the X2 coaster?

  • this the best ride i went on

  • I love this ride going there on the 11th of August...

  • That was the most intense thing I've ever been on.

  • i rode this 5 times in 1 hour i got the firework ride it was phenominal

  • Everyone was saying it has its roar. I went the other day. IT DOES! :)

  • It's the resonation in the box-shaped spine of the track, all B&M's have it... i say it makes the ride feel unique!

  • You can hear it from the parking lot. I love it!

  • Some Bimmers have been sand-boxed, that is, sand or other substance poured inside the spine to satisfy local ordinance. I think Talon at Dorney was sandboxed. No roar, only screams of riders.

  • this is the best ride

  • u could here it go around kings island. :)

  • most the ride looks alot like nitro at sfga. not exactly the same but same concept. hills then helix to midride breaks

  • yea it does although this is bigger i think. it looks like it is

  • it looks like just a bunch of hills..

every thing at cedar point is better :D

  • yeah but millenium force and magnum are just a bunch of hills too

  • wrong, millennium force has a bunch of turns and striaght pices so you can feel the speed of the ride better. the train is always on a hill when you're on DiamondBack, so you can't feel the speed.

  • yeah what he said. lol

    they also have tunnels :D

  • ive been to cedar point and rode everything and i rode this ride just yesterday its like a mix between the magnum and millennium force pretty much its fuckin awesome

  • i think i would crap my pants if i rode this

  • this was my first roller coaster.. at first it was sacry then rode it again i was fine and i dont like vortex because gave me a headache to bumby. lol

  • bumpy*

  • The Beast Of Steel - no doubt!

  • i love this ride i rode it 7 times!!!

  • best coaster ever.

  • I rode all your mothers. She was fun.

  • this ride to me is awesome cause this is no doubt kings island's most intense ride

  • I've rode Diamonback about 10 or 12 times this year (6 in the front seat), & I have mixed reviews on it.

The overall ride is fun & the open air stadium seating is nice, but it just didnt give me that "WOW" factor or thrill that you usually get from other coasters

I guess Im a bit spoiled though, as I've also been to Cedar Point about 10 times this year & have rode Millenium Force, Maverick, TTD, Raptor, Magum multiple times in the front seat

To me, D'back is just ok; but nothing special

  • I rode this yesterday, and I thought it was almost as fun as the Millenium Force!

  • No way, not even close to MF!

  • omg i love this ride....first drop is incredible...u have to experience it yourself

  • i love the sound of the wind in the front! This video doesn't do it justice! lol

  • this ride was so freakin fun!!

i rode it today and loved it

  • i rode this yesterday, deffitnely the best

  • omg im goin there in a week and when they open the park were goin to run to that ride

  • i went yesterday my favorite ride it was so cool

  • love it.

  • looks awesome is it fun im goin ti KI this summer

  • went yestuerday!! my fave ride there!!! amazing :)

  • Best ride ever. truly amazing

  • i love this coaster the smoothest ive been on

  • I cannot wait until I go to King's Island next week or sometime soon. I will deffinately ride the Diamondback!

  • We put those on coasters becasue too many people have tried to climb on coaster tracks that were low level exposed to the ground. In some cases, people have had their hands injured for hanging on a track when trains went carreening though.

  • Just a quick question, what are those net-type things at 1:12-1:13?

  • Those are put underneath the track when there is a pathway directly underneath the track with people. There are only nets on the parts of the track that are come pretty close to the ground over pathways. The nets catch anything that could possibly fall off the ride and hit guests.

  • Ah, I'm a fool for not assuming that, thank you, sir!

  • and believe me, stuff falls alot. Theres flip flops and wallets and phones. I lost coins and they floated in the air in front of me but i couldn't reach forward to grab them. It was awesome!

  • those are touch guards, they prevent people from touching the trach when it gets that close to the ground.

  • Lol I totally scream WAAOOO after the MCBR. xD

  • i want to ride this so bad, i am definitely going this summer, hopefully, i went last year and i loved kings island, and this makes it that much better, thanks for posting great video

  • Make sure to go eat lunch after riding this, that way you don't find the other rides boring and dull. Of course there are still a handful that will still be exciting regardless.

  • you can't put inversions on a hypercoaster.

  • Technically you can, but it's not a good structural idea to do so. Son of Beast was a hypercoaster and debuted with a loop. But then again, if a hyper coaster had the normal airtime hills going till it barely met 150ft or so, then go off and do a typical looping coaster layout, then it would be fine. It'd be a long ride though.

  • What I meant is that B&M never puts inversions on this type of hypercoaster (nitro, appolo's chariot, diamondback, etc). You can tell by the type of restraints used. If they wanted inversions, it would look more like the Hulk at IoA or Kumba at busch gardens tampa.

  • I can not WAIT to ride this. I agree with the muziknurd384 person, I can't believe there isn't any loops or corkscrews!!

    :D

  • The airtime is the thrill, theres no need for loops, just look at millennium force.

  • I've been on this ride so many times. The first drop, oh it's amazing!

  • no loops? corkscrews? anything? shame. jk it looks pretty cool. i get to ride it this upcoming friday. :-D
