  • Okay so we know its self-weeding/dark transfer paper, but the question is what namebrand should we buy? How does it know where to print the white part of the images? If I don't want any filing in the middle of the image, will it come out white or will there be an empty space on the paper so that the t-shirt color is shown when ironed on? These are the questions we need answered! Thnx.

  • expertvillage sucks cocks

  • Consumer Tip: I just bought the Avery and Office Depot brand of transfer/Iron On paper. Here's my finding..... the image printed on the Avery paper is less sharp...a tad duller than Office Depot. The Avery image feels stiffer on the shirt...like image was taped on....whereas the O.D brand felt more bendable and more like part of the shirt. For darker images, the Avery seems a bit more reflective under direct light..like a sheen...O.D had less sheen which looks better. O.D brand is better.

  • What is that paper called? because when i do it i always get them horrible edge marks! thanks

  • iron temp? wet or dry? steam? come on dude. think this shit out before you waste 3 mins of my life.

  • @lastlaft no steam. cotton settiong or medium

  • @lastlaft Hot, dry, no steam

  • @lastlaft iron temp has to be fairly hot close to the maximum heat and dry heat never steam because thatll ruin the ink

  • @lastlaft Read the instructions on the pack. All that is there.

  • @lastlaft put the temp on the high, no steam. or just buy a heatpress on ebay. easy to use and it makes your heat transfers last longer

  • @lastlaft hahahhahahha

  • @lastlaft hahahhahahha chill!!!

  • @lastlaft Or you could purchase the transfer paper and read the instructions like a normal person.

  • i did an iron on transfer and the stupid white oulining was printed on as well. wtf?

  • How do you get the design onto the paper ?

And can you answer the highest rated comment on here pls . lol

  • @graffart951 He seems to be using a self seeding paper. Getting that transfer that way is a 2 step process using a color ink-jet printer for the image & then creating an "inverse selection" in Photoshop to remove the excess. Then you take the image printed & run it through a B&W laser printer. Look for it at "Coastal's" on-line store. I'm looking at techniques & equipment now because I have a unique idea for a product and I don't want to invest in the wrong thing.

  • expert village actually has some shitty videos. I wouldn't recommend doing, or following anything they do.

  • i have d same questions.... plz answer...

  • @therealdude100

you can get the paper at office depot, walmart, and target

put the iron on cotton setting or high

no your normal toner will work for most transfer sheets

  • @therealdude100 yeah i know right. have you had any luck finding the answers? i need to know i cant find any videos.

  • @FRIZZYizzi4 & @therealdude100 its just called transfer paper you dont really need a specific name, i buy them at wal mart for real cheap at the craft section. One sheet is like 49 cents. I print designs and sell them all the time :) & yeah you use regular printing ink but replace the paper with transfer paper & print it. The iron would work if its on 400, thats what i do. o;

  • @HMakeup thnx

  • @HMakeup k thank you so much you helped a lot

  • @therealdude100 you can buy it from most craft stores and the directions should be on the box

  • @therealdude100 its a special paper

  • @therealdude100

you can get it at any craft store.

or even walmart or target. use the iron on cotton setting. no steam.

it uses regular ink from your printer.

and the paper does all the work

  • @therealdude100 You can get Transfer Paper from amazon - you can get a light and dark pack.... Set your iron to to hottest heat, yes you can print your picture stright from the printer and you don't need any special ink!

  • @therealdude100 whs smith

  • @therealdude100 you can get the paper at your basic fabric store like jo ann fabrics or even online and the iron has to be very hot and yes from your computer is just fine

  • @therealdude100 Hello,I do graphic shirts alot. You can use any printer, any picture, all you need is the iron on transfer paper, go to a craft store to buy some, and t shirts. No special ink needed. Get the iron on transfer paper for dark shirts or light shirts, any more questions just ask.

  • @PrincessBeautyLounge wow thank u!!

  • so do i neeed transfer paper or cna i use just regular printer paper. and how high do i neeed the iorn temperature on?

  • @darksonic50047

You have to use two ply paper like the kind on a roll.

  • tendulkar scored a double hundred today

  • yea 2 questions..

    washing..

and does white print on black then? cos it doesnt print when using the lighter paper

  • is it washable?

  • But... won't this stuff just peel off over time (from washing it and such)?

  • do i have to use an ink jet printer or could i just use a regular printer...plz could someone help me..it seems that no one is answering this question...

  • odd question.

say i wanted to print a picture of a square onto the shirt useing this procces, but the square is white. im not sure that if i print out a white square my computer it would put white ink on the paper. any ideas on how to get white onto a black t-shirt?

  • I kinda wanna know the same thing

  • i think you can put white ink on paper, you need special software for it

  • I think that it is the type of this paper, so the ink would be transfered to the shirt, but i`m not sure. Great question though because I kinda thought the same thing

  • @xDDufiosy The thing is you cant get white ink for a printer, its either rgb or ckmy. Maybe you just have to have a colour thats close to white.

  • maybe this will help you guys what i do is the same way i iron it but i put tape on it so the picture hold still

  • This process is called plastisol Transfer where you screen print on transfer paper. This guy is such a horrible person to mislead people like this. I am a screen printer by trade. That is not just transfer paper it is a Plastisol Transfer he got from his local screen printing shop. Shame On U Sir!

  • do you need special ink or a printer

  • no, but say if you buy laser transfer paper, and put it in a ink jet printer, you may find that the paper has melted through your printer, be careful you get the paper for your printer

  • You can get Avery iron-on transfer paper at Walmart in the printer paper section. You can get a pack of 5 paper (8.5x11) transfers for about $10. You print an image in reverse on the paper and then trim and iron it on the t-shirt.

I had no luck with mine. It would stick in certain spots and tear away the image, looking terrible.

I'd rather take it to a professional print shop. Too much trouble this way. I gave up.
