  • Excelente guitarrista, apesar de não ser Page, o estilo também combina perfeitamente com o vocal. O baixo bem marcado em um tempo de blues básico também suscita outras comparações com o som do Zeppelin.

  • This line up was plant, bonham, kevyn gammond on guitar, paul lockey on bass and chris brown on keyboards. its good isnt it

  • @frankenboston nah man, no jimmy page in the band of joy.

  • @TheBrowndawg god damn i love the band of joy, its great shit. the only thing that could make it better is....

  • I can't describe how cheerful and relaxing this song is.

  • Does anybody know about the great guitarist John Ellison who played with Robert Plant, possibly in this band? He used to do a comedy A' tishoo! over Johns comb over before they headed on stage.

  • Kevyn taught me at college!

  • outstanding

  • Imagino que foi aí que Page os escolheu para entrar pra 'banda'.

    _

(I suppose it was there that Page has chosen to join the 'band'.)

  • Sounds like a John Lee Hooker song..

  • Left to right Paul Lockey, Kevyn Gammond,Chris Brown,RP,JB

  • Wow, amazing voice!! You're the best Robert.

  • Don't forget Lyndon Laney the bass player of the Band of Joy and Lyndon Laney: Founder and CEO of Laney Amplifiers. Robert Plant only uses Laney Amplifiers.

  • Thanks, I love learning bits of information like this. I think I'll look into getting a Laney Amplifier. Who is the bass player on this song?

  • ask thehellhecould

  • Mick Strode was the very last guitarist in the Band of Joy in 1968, prior to Robert and Bonzo joining Led Zep. He now lives in France and still plays a mean blues guitar.

  • HE IS AMAZING!!!

  • kevyn gammond, the guitarist..he was also in plant's band 'Priory of Brion" (name obtusely references a french secret society) and i believe they toured about 5 years back...

  • wow his voice here sounds better than zeps first album to me. and ive heard everything by plant...

  • plants early voice was so gooooooood and groovy

  • thanks for sharing these rare songs. It's amazing to see how much Robert's voice has changed over the past.......gasp........43 years. God Bless you, Robert. And also congrats on your BIG win at the Grammys on Sunday. O:-)

  • OMG THE COW COAT!!!!! ...I have an obsession with that thing.

  • Whoa !! really cool,,thanks.

  • what happened to the band of joy's guitarist when plant and bonham joined led zeppelin?

  • Kevyn Gammond on guitar is described by Robert as a "lifetime member of the Band of Joy". In the early 1970s Kevyn played in a band called Bronco with Robbie Blunt. More recently he has held a senior position in music education at Kidderminster College.

  • He lived next door to RP the last time I saw them. About 6 years ago.
