It looks very cool. The only problem is that, realistically, this couldn't be built in an area with large amounts of precipitation. It would pile up on the roof with nowhere to go and the make it cave in. But, I'm sure that you could make custom drainage systems. But, yeah... looks great.

do you know what i see from amateurs from my school at google skechup? Well they do the outside and never does inside (i complement that you actually made inside) and the second thing they do is depending too much in textures. The last is using super cars to make the house look better. I will give you an advice and try not to make the house look good by using some other people's models. They dont fit your own design.

I really liked that uronian type house but i agree thatthere needs to be a runoff situation. try to get the middle runoff you have to slant into a pipe and not have it straight. Overall your house is very well designed. I definentally like the modern look u used and the slants of the roofs and waslls.

Yes, the main gutter was custom engineered with two large run off points, one in the end which is visible, and another in the center, which ran through the house..

(mind you that this isnt my design, its the house we were living in.)

I like what you did, but I do think you may have a problem with the roof. If you don't have a valley run on that downslope, you are going to have serious water damage.  :-) Good job though. I am new to sketchup and am designing my dream house now too.

Yes i know.. The architect had that in mind when he design the house.. in the 4 years that we lived in the house, we only had one situation were the water overflowed... mainly because we live in Queensland and the storms here are crazy!. plus we lived on a golf course.. i think we had 2 golf balls in the gutter at one point.. talk aout hole in one!.. :)
