And I totally agree with Titus... because there is very little context and feeling of time passing the effect is like a nightmare. The ending is mind blowing as well! Easily the best film of his I've seen. This is supposed to be part of a 3 film series but for heavens sake don't watch City of the Living Dead! it's diabolical in comparison with The Beyond

a) It's a great movie! The way Fulci actors behave is just one of his characteristic Stylistical tendencies. I believe the reason behind it is to basically show a type of naiveness on the part of human beings confronted with the supernatural. Also,those who appreciate his work, have you ever noticed how Fulci movies unfold pretty much like nightmares?
2) Well, you can criticize all you want about this movie,it's lack of plot is ingenuity,unlike today
What's so great about Fulci's films is the way most characters spend a huge amount of time just standing and gawping at stuff... No one else seems to direct in such an irritating yet unique fashion.
