I have been trying to delate the old music on my palm for a while. When I connect to my lab top it doesn't have a file for any of the the music that I have put on it. the only thing it show are a couple of albums. How can I erase those old song before I put more on there?

The problem I am having withmy palm is.... When I connect the palm to the computer I can add new music to a folder, but all of the old music that is on the phone does not show up. I have look in every file on the palm and I don't c it anywhere. What do I do?

HI, Great tutorial. I was wondering what your Pre's battery life is like? I want a pre, but I have heard the battery life is low. What do you think? I have an Iphone, it's not terrible like some think. I don't really know if the battery life is comparable? Thanks.

@MsHoliday2009 Well that depends on a lot of things but some days I get 1 and 1/2 days before a charge is needed and some times i go less just depends on how much you use it and so on but unlike the iPhone you can swap out battery's i have 4 battery's so its never a prob. I love it and i use to have an iPhone too and i will never go back after using this phone

@XDGisselDX after the 1.3.5 update that removed the 3rd now you just have USB and Just Charge so just use USB mode and move the music like i show you in the video :)

I have followed your instructions completely and I have even been to the sprint store to try to get music on my pre...and I can see it on my f drive when i drag and drop but my music library keeps coming up empty! I am very computer saavy and I still can't figure this one out.... feel very silly. please help.

@mccabelb Hey bud sorry your having probs with that what is thee file format of the songs you are placing on the pre? also what is the bit rate 128 192 256 and so on if its to high of a bit rate the pre will not play the file you may also have a damaged file on your pre you may need to run webos doctor to fix it you may also check out the forums @ precentral for the same issue... Let me know....

Go in to sound settings and change it to one of the default ring tones call your phone and see if it starts over after 5 sec?

is what you do is plug the phone in to your computer MAC or PC press the USB drive option browse to the root of the USB drive make a cfolder called Music drag and drop what ever songs you want in to that folder (.MP3) start the music app it should see them fine...

Yes you can set what ever ring tone you want to set as long as its in the ring tone folder... and also make sure its not the whole song because it will play it all...

What format are the songs? need to be MP3, AAC, or AAC+ format. for it to work also if you have a lot of songs on it the first time you launch it after a huge song dump it can take 15 or so sec to see all the files...

The Palm Pre runs through iTunes! So if you have iTunes on your computer, iTunes will recognize your Palm Pre when you plug it in as a basic iPod. Just name it as Palm Pre. BTW, do not click USB drive on your Pre, click MusicSync or something like that!

When I use music sync it puts all my music into the phone, i dont want that, so i do it this way its easier

True, but in iTunes, you can set it to where you can just sync it, or Manually Manage Music, meaning you can drag which songs you want on there!

i dont know how to work itunes, when i first plugged it in, all i did was click media sync on the phone and it started doing it all, i would expect itunes to ask if i wanted to sync all my music or just what i wanted

i tried the music sync again, i got the songs i wanted in, but for some reason, some of the songs wont play, it will skip like 3 and play one then skip some more and play another
