too bad that you don´t see alot of blood when killing chickens because otherwise i could use them in an anti- chicken killing campain.
But yes offcourse whale killing is brutal since it´s so big an creature... But it´s still for whales who live in freedome.
farm animals are keept in captivity all of their lifes and suffer way more than whales. Pigs and chickens and cows are keept in small areas with the extremly poor living conditions.

We domesticated cows, we breed and harvest them. The difference between killing cows and this is that Whales are one of the smartest creatures living on our planet and they ARE WILD ANIMALS! Are we destroying or disrupting cow populations by breeding them then eating them? No. Whales will soon diminish in numbers because no one has a whale farm where they raise whales to replenish the supply you eat. Dont compare cows and whales unless you have a pool in your backyard growing/breeding whales

well the difference in killing cows and dolphins and whales is that cows are much more suitable as food , unlike dolphins and whales which contain copius amounts of mercury in them. these whales and dolphins should not even be killed even if it is for food. if those people are starving then the u.s might as well just send them our recalled tomatoes

It comes across as cruel because of the method of harvest but why is it any worse to kill these whales for the meat than it is any other animal? I am a meat eater so I guess it confuses me that some animals are viewed as more sacred than others. I certainly agree that if the animal in question is endangered (as a lot of whale species are) than it should not be hunted but it seems to me that most people are complaining about the way the animal is killed. Thoughts?

whales and dolphins are the only other animals besides apes and humans that are self-aware. that means, when the look in the mirror, they see themselves. when dogs, fish, cats, cows, chickens, etc. look in the mirror, they see another of their species, not themselves. they are killing animals that have highly complex social structures and families, animals that are self aware.
