I couldn't find a link to the other shooter, but it's all in a city. You choose your class and try to make it through the city. Boss battles and everything. The first shooter is like Horde mode on Gears of War, defend against as many waves of enemies as possible.

I really expect as well, that people will release a lot of these as bases, so you can just get their code and start making your own top down fighters game or whatever other style you can find, even if you don't have any coding skill :)
