Burlesque was a legitimate art form up until WW2. After that it fell out of favour sadly with the prudishness of the 50s. It is a good art form and needs to come back.

I am an event photographer specializing in Burlesque. Although this was not one of the best routines I've ever seen it is still stylish and interesting. Obviously she has to keep it tidy for the TV. Clearly this lady has great talent, skill and execution. Very poor of a judge to ignore that. Also, I feel nothing shown on stage was tasteless. All should keep their minds out of the gutter and recognize this form of dance and the skill required to make it so entertaining.
