There are little 'wheelchairs' you can buy for cats or dogs who's back legs don't work. Or you can build one. Basically, they hold up the little kitten's back and the front feet take her where she wants to go. You need to take her out of it at night.

I also had a kitten (1 of a litter of 6) that had this problem. It was apparent this was a serious handicap when it could not get footing to compete with the others when nursing.. The mother even took it some distance away from the group to abandon it. This was rather heartbreaking and I returned it to the group; then several times a day I began bending its legs forward so it would learn to push on its feet in a normal way when nursing. After a week or two it was normal. Worth a try.

Have you ever thought about getting a wheel chair for cats? I ask this because I used to have a German SHepherd that had degenerative myelopathy - I believe it is the way it's written - and I got her a wheel chair for her. I believe they make those for kittens too. Look for "vetcar" here on youtube.It's mostly in Portuguese, but they can send it to you in the US and it wouldn't be that expensive -vets in US would charge a lot more for it.If you need help,contact me

@steph0318 She didn't kill it. She had to put it down , which is only formatted to take a animal out of their pain. Read the description. If it would of carried on to live , it would be in pain , would you rather the poor little darling to grow up with a broken spine , not being able to move , and die slowly day by day? or would you prefere it to be put down , and to of had an nice grave in the garden for it's family to remember it by. Bitch

my cats back legs didnt work either they fell off and she got around just fine like all the other cats. she could do anything they could do. their are alot of people out there that would of taken her and taken good care of her there was no reason 2 have it killled or put down ass u call it

i had a kitten that did this once. It correccted itself, and his very palyful and normal like any other cat! ironically it was the same color!

Just letting u all know she had to b put don't. Her spine didn't develop n it would have been pure torture to keep her alive. Plus I was 8 months pregnant and could not have coped with a new born (single mum) and a cat that needed that much care . We miss you ninja (her name because she was a fighter until the end).

@mummi2b aww that's so sad. she's such a cute kitty too. i love the name :) she' s a total ninja like my cat. my cat was close to death but she fought through after we took her home. patches (My cat) is both a miracle and a ninja cat :)

OMG!!! I had a kitten just like urs, same colour and everything, we called him Bubba, but he was attacked by a stray cat. He grew up old enough to wear baby nappies.

My cousins cat did this but the poor little rascal got stepped on by a damn cow. I love cows but stepping on a kitty? Bad cow. :( He does have amazing upperbody streangth and he can still out run the hell outta us. Poor little guy

Have you ever thought about getting a wheel chair for cats? I ask this because I used to have a German SHepherd that had degenerative myelopathy - I believe it is the way it's written - and I got her a wheel chair for her. I believe they make those for kittens too. Look for "vetcar" here on youtube.It's mostly in Portuguese, but they can send it to you in the US and it wouldn't be that expensive -vets in US would charge a lot more for it.If you need help,contact me
