This was one of my father's favorite songs. I think of him and how he must have felt about my mother. They're both gone now...but this song makes me remember. Thank you for posting!
I remember this song from my youth in the late 50s or early 60s but don't recall who sang it. Looked it up on Wikipedia and found some other versions here on YT. I suppose this is it but funny as I remember it sounding differently. A beautiful and sad song as for me it's about remembering lost loves.
I Remember Too listening to this song on my mom's old 45 when I was a kid back in the 80s. Walked into Walgreens today and heard it on their station. Brought a big smile on my face. hadn't heard it since then. Sad, all the old guys are gettin so old :(
I ENJOYED YOUR VIDEO. It certainly presents wonderful pictures of Frank, Carole and their friends and the music is still number one for me and many others.
But hey! That guy playing the harmonica is very good too. I laughed until I cried.
This song holds special memories for me, back in '62. And I knew Frank was born in Coventry - didn't realise it was Coundon. An aunt of mine lived in Coundon and we kids spent a couple of summer holidays there back in the 50s. Special thanks, then, for this one.
Thanks for reminding me of a great song and introducing me to the cute harmonica player!

What a voice? People forget what real music was about? This shit today, they pass as music is disgusting! Today offers you music for the tone deaf?

The 19th #1 song on Billboard's newly formed Easy Listening (Adult Contemporary) charts.

this was an unusual hit in that it was by a Brit/Austrialian BEFORE the Beatles opened the door to those outside the USA

Cool. This song was used in Rob Zombie's House of 1,000 corpses. A great scene. And...yes the harmonica player DOES do a great job here.
