  • Fantastic review, very informative for my buying decision! :)

  • how does it compare to the denon AH-D1100?

  • @innerfidelity would you recommend the ath m50 or the v mod crossfade lps by the way if it help i listen to metal mainly thrash

  • these or the audio technica ath-m50's? i mainly listen to dubstep.

  • @Gladiator1972 oh ok please tell me which you like better overall

  • are these basically crossfade lps and if so would you recommend these or the audio technica ath m50s?

  • Hi!!! Have you reviewed the Crossfade LP before? What is your opinion and thoughts about the two such as sound quality difference?? I have a pair of LPs and I would like to get a comparison. Pleease answer!

  • Would you suggest these over the ATH-M50's or LP2'S? Anyone feel free to chime in.

  • i am really having trouble for which headphones i should purchase. i am mainly looking for riding on the bus and school usage as well as great sound quality and comfort. im having trouble deciding between the cvmoda crossfade lp, audio technica ath m50, or some other headphones people may recommend under the $160 price range. i am looking for great bass and im 13 so i cant blow off more than a few hundred dollars on headphones.

    thanks

    phillip

  • HELP ! Im looking for v-moda headphone..which one is the better one LP or LP2 or M80 ?

  • these or the sennheiser hd 598? i know these are sealed and the 598s are open but which sound better?

  • BlueAnt Embrace Stereo Headphones VS M-80?

  • lp2s vs sl150 anyone?

  • @romeobd1998 lp2s lol

  • @romeobd1998 I have the SL150 and love them....I just ordered the M80's because they seem smaller and lighter on the head...I wanna use them at the gym.

  • Hi Tyler, I was wondering if i could please ask for your advice re: some on-ear cans. I listen to acoustic/vocal music with some jazz and RnB (which may be a little bass predominant) and I quite like a warm and smooth sound signature to my music.

I'm tossing up between these M-80s and the Bowers and Wilkins P5. I'd like to wear these headphones for long periods of study without any fatigue. What's your opinion re: V-Moda vs B&W and should I be considering any others?

    Many thanks!

  • @jonguyen89 Go for the V-Moda's dude. I own both, and the V-moda's are much better sounding, more comfortable for long periods of time, and less expensive.

  • @dmanandcmac Hi there,

Thanks for your advice. Do you reckon it's okay for my sort of music? I have the ATH-M50s and I'm looking for something sort of similar...just smaller. :P

  • @jonguyen89 Well, it's smoother sounding than the m50 for sure. I would think it fits very well with your tastes.

  • @jonguyen89 I think if you enjoy the ATH M50s then the V-moda would be a smart choice yes. Just be sure that you let them burn in for a while, cause right out of the box some of the higher frequencies sound a little recessed, but after a few days of burn in they loosen up very nicely. The B&W P5's are very nice for jazz music as well, they're very warm headphones, but for RnB not so much. they're def not high-fidelity by any stretch. Overall the V-moda's have a better sound signature.

  • Is it worth the extra 30$ or so to get these over the Audio Technica M50s?

  • wich ones better the crossfade lp or the m80?

  • I just like the way this guy says "Hi"

  • @miceblue425 lol have u ever held studios they got a metal band on them. the top is plastic so what? also the pros are all metal so wtf are u saying beats arnt ugly you have no taste. the only ones with no metal is the solo's and even then they go 180 degrees .

  • Beside your shirt ;) , this is one of the best review i ve seen.

Thx a lot, you convince me :)

  • @foryoshi lmao

  • HELP! I'm looking for some cans for about $200 or less. I listen to rock like rise against three days grace foo fighters etc and hate my solo's!>:o I'm looking at these the crossfade lp or lp2 or the sennheiser hds...thanks

  • @EvanChristenson080 I like these.

  • @InnerFidelity So V moda's crossfades, Akg Q701s, or klipsch m40 modes? You havent reviewed the klipsch or the crossfades. Im looking for portable (not in size but in strength), Sound and comfort! I no some of these need a port head amp :) Whats your thoughts

  • did u get yours custom

  • Due to the immense support on head-fail for these headphones i ordered a pair over 1 month ago. They finally arrived and man am i disappointed. These are not just bad they are appalling. Save $100 and get m50s.

  • head-fi.org

  • @pdiddypdler Head-fail . org

Don't listen to the idiots there.

  • i got the lp2 they are the best headphones that have bass i ever heard. and if you dont like bass change it with the eq vmoda over every thing

  • see this why i like the ludacris bc i think the sound is pretty awsome,i think it could be better and the sound dont fit the price! but as far as style and sound and duribility and sound quality the souls get about 8 out of 10 bc sound could be better in my opinion i need big head phones no small ugly ones lol

  • For pop, rock, alternative and drum and bass... V-Moda M80, Audio Technica ATH-M50, pioneer HDJ 2000, beyerdynamic DT 1350 or AKG Q701? I use an iphone4s as the main player and would not like a portable amp with my headphones

  • first of all those head phones arnt only ugly they look cheap and second beats are very good sounding head phones what are you smoking?

  • @2pro4u1000 You better be trolling... otherwise good luck in life (Y)

  • @2pro4u1000 So the brittle, glossy, begging to be called "Made in China" plastic of the Studios don't look cheap? Okay, your logic doesn't make any sense. The V-Moda's are made of metal. I think metal looks more durable and of a higher quality than cheap, breakable plastic.

  • those are ugly get beats

  • @2pro4u1000 if you buy headphones for fashion, your an idiot. Have fun paying way more than the beats are worth for fashionable plastic that sound like shit.

  • @2pro4u1000 Beats are ugly. Why on earth would you spend $300 on a pair of headphones with cheap build quality and sub-par sound quality? I don't consider fingerprint magnet, glossy, brittle plastic very beautiful in comparison to the flexible, durable metal build of the M80's.

  • M80 or Skullcandy Mixmaster?

  • do the lp earpads come off????

  • You seem so happy when reviewing a great product. You just seem miserable reviewing expensive headphones that do not perform well.

  • *Wants LP2 Review*

  • Is the extra $60 on amazon worth upgrading to the m-80 vs the crossfade?

  • Got my m80s a couple of weeks ago, fricken Awesome well worth it, look great sound top class cant go wrong well worth it !

  • I love the joy you have in giving this review and the honesty on how much you like them. I can't stop recommending these to people either. Wore them to work and kept rambling on how great they were, realizing later on that they didn't care one bit... hahaha. I guess that's how we tend to be at times. Great review.

  • Any idea when the lp2 review is coming out?

  • Got mine today and it is great! cant wait to burn them in to see how they really sound.

  • can you review the grado sr60's?

  • You said the the LP2's are for the bassy music. Then on the other hand, what is the m80 excessive in?

  • These or LP2's???

  • I understand the M80 is better then the Souls SL150, but I am curious HOW better?

Is it like night and day? Or is there a small difference? Large difference?

  • if u have vmodas lp and didnt get the faders for free. get the faders if u wanna hear the bass without going deth :)

  • v-moda lp2 or sony mdr-xb500 for bass?

  • @ser363k Well those are in two completely different price ranges. The xb500s sound very distant while the lp2 is a bit more forward. If youre going to spend 200 on a bass heavy cans, look at the higher up sonys.

  • please make a review of the sol republic headphones !!

  • ok I've got a question I really need answered... I want headphones with awesome bass because i listen to mostly modern music, but i also want a headphone that can give me nice quality when I'm listening to like rock and softer music. Can the crossfade LP2 give me that? or is it just better for bass?

  • I got the v 80 from amazon for $139 !.. Its going to be a while for them to ship but it will be worth the wait. Great review!

  • Theoretically, if I had a $200 budget, and i liked bass-heavy electronic music, have no source buy my zune, don't have an amp, and need something durable and with good isolation, what would you suggest?

  • Does the LP2 come with a VIP card? thanks!

  • @InnerFidelity I just got a pair of these for christmas and I like the sound but I was expecting them to be a lot bassier, I listen to hip-hop, electronic genres and I would say I am a bit a of a basshead, so these headphones just didn't do it for me. I am stuck with what to do with them now, I live in the UK so sending them back to the US would be slightly costly and I don't know if they V-moda would accept them back. Please can you give me some advice to what I can do?

  • Thanks dude i love ur reviews they realy helped me out choosing =) =) =)

  • Whats the difference between the Crossfade LP and the Crossfade LP2 because they're both the same price

  • @kahlanii2 The LP2 is the updated version of the LP, so the sound quality has a bit of improvement overall, especially the bass of LP2 isn't that overwhelming as the LP, in my opinion. For the price, the LP2 is firm on $199 since it just came out, but for the LP, I'm confident that you can definitely find them cheaper on most places, sometimes it can even be found around $100... :D

  • @mychord11 thanks so much :)

  • ok, well ive been looking for headphones for 5 months now and i just want to be done. Ive looked at the sony mdr v6s and audio technica m-50s and while they have great sound ive heard, they lack durability and de-atachable cord which i REALLY want. Ive tried the beats solos and love how they block out sound but they're not flat response and i want flat. Are these a good choice for me if i listen to alternative, rap/hip hop, dubstep, techno adnd some rock? I have a 90$ amazon gift card btw.

  • this or audio technica m-50???

  • Would the M80 or the LP2 appeal to un-audiophilic friends?

I want to get them out of the Beats by dre brainwash....

  • @RamenBowlKing Definitely appeal to non-audiophile friends, especially the LP2, in my opinion, regardless the superior sound quality, only the fashionable looks will strike down the Beats too (I'm not a Beats hater, just personal and honest advice).

  • Thanks a bunch :D how would you compare strictly the bass of the dt1350 hd 25 and m80 in terms of punch impact force and quantity. I have the hd 25 and they have very little decay, i would like more prominent lasting bass similar to the m50s

  • Are they really gonna come out a M100 ("the over-the-ear M80") early next year? Is it worth a wait over the LP2? Plz comment. Thx!

  • i know lp2 for bass like u said, but on the website they reduce the bass on the lp2 0.0

  • sorry, you kind of answered in the review

  • These or Beyerdynamics dt 1350 or Sennheiser hd 25-1 ii??

  • you have the most interesting shirts lol

  • v-moda m80 (140 bucks)

    v-moda lp ( also 140)

    or wait for the lp2?

LP2 isn't on the market here in switzerland, how much is it over there?

  • @Spaeckli where u found them for 140?

  • @darkhero101010 over here in switzerland, don't know why it's cheaper...

  • Comment removed

  • how much are they?, im going to put my gf on mine =]

  • I am having the toughest time deciding between these and the ms400. Can anybody help me out and sway me one way or the other?

  • V-moda m80 or lp? Please respond

  • @StevenQ54 Not the LP, get the LP2 if you like excessive bass. Otherwise the M-80 is the way to go.

  • @InnerFidelity If I can get 60% off from an LP, should I get that or stop acting cheap and get an LP2?

  • @InnerFidelity i feel cheated for buying the lp right before the lp2 came out...

  • Crossfade LP2 vs M-80? They're the same price and I like bassy music.

  • @KAN0NAT0R LP2 for bass.

  • @InnerFidelity can you please make a review on the lp2 please?))

  • V-moda or Sennheiser hd 25 ?? for dj-ing

  • @RavenKandi That's tough. I'd rather have the M-80 cuz it's so cool. But the HD 25-1 II stays on your head better.

  • @InnerFidelity i dont care about optics and how it looks on my head the sound quality is very important and the loudness of headphones i used to have hdj 2000 and i was very unsatisfyd with them couse the noise that comes outside and the loudness was shity couse if you turn the on to loud the sound goes bad if you know what i mean.and now i'v tryied hd 25 and i was very satisfyd with them but now i need a new pair.and i was like hmm should i get my self an hd 25 or v-80.

  • @InnerFidelity what about sound quality hd25s or m80

  • @eagle1423 They're very close.Both are very good.

  • @InnerFidelity Is the difference between LP and LP2 big? And if so then what kind of a difference is it? Please respond.

  • @InnerFidelity which sound signature do you rather? m-80s or the hd25-1 ii?

  • cannot wait for your crossfade 2 review, have a lot of hype for them

  • @8charvat I like the LP2 better than the LP.

  • @InnerFidelity LP2 > M/V-80?

  • @InnerFidelity ive tryed both there exactly the same

  • @InnerFidelity is there a difference of the two? i went on the vmoda website and the lp and lp2 are the same price at 199, its just the lp2 were all black and limited edition? is the sound quality better do you know, i just am curious because i just got the lp today

  • Is there much sound leakage?

  • audio-technica ath-m50 kills these!

  • @musicflowable How? do you have both?

  • @InnerFidelity-Tks for replying:)One more thing,have the lp2s improved alot from the lp1s?

  • I used the SL150's and I returned them to get the V moda M80's but i dont see much of a change here and actually the SL150's are a little bit more comfortable so which parts do u think that the V moda M80's are way better? because the sound quality is not a big difference.

  • Also, how these compare to the crossfade lp2?

  • @mark98rox The LP2 is a bass heavy headphone (a good one, though) while the M-80 is more neutral, which I prefer.

  • @InnerFidelity-How about the audio-technica ath-m50?Are these better?

  • @mark98rox Yes.

  • Comment removed

  • Do a review on the Crossfade LP2

  • @SladeNoctis I will.

  • do u think the soul sl150's are worth 200$

  • @BrassKnucks14 No, but they're not bad sounding. The V-Moda M-80 and V-80 are though ... for sure.

  • @InnerFidelity are the souls best for hip-hop and rap? and man ur the best reviewer on youtube...PLEASE REVIEW THE STREET'S BY 50! thx

  • How do you like the Audio Technica ATH-A700?

  • I know they are 2 very different headphones but would you recommend the audio technica M50 or the V-Moda M80. What would be the main differences.

    Thanks.

  • sexy as beasts one thing needs to be fixed the wire from headband to ear cup all that strength can be counteracted by a weak cable break

  • @ArchDouchebag DO you have a pair that broke, or are you just guessing? The cables on V-Moda cans are very high quality.

  • V-Moda M-80

  • @InnerFidelity hey what are those speaker/monitors in the top right of the screen?

  • @50CentInPampers Harbeth HL P3 ES2

  • @InnerFidelity Have you tried the V-Moda Crossfade LP? How do they sound, are they comfortable? Crossfade LP or ATH-M50?

  • @InnerFidelity-Which is the best?Soul SL150,Beats solo hd or v-moda m80?

  • @mark98rox Forget the Beats. They suck. The V-Moda has better sound quality than the SL150. but the SL150 is much more stylish. Though they are both good headphones imo.

  • I have the Vibratos and they are the most durable earbuds I've ever seen. Vmoda has the market for durability in audio products. They sound great for hip hop and rap as well. In my opinion, Vmoda is the up and coming standard for commercialized fun listening headphones.

  • FIRST!!!

  • have you tried the crossfade LP's? if so, how do they compare to these?

  • how is sound leaking?

    looking forward for replay!

  • PLEASE DO THE BOSE QC15!!! Please!!!

  • what do you recomend the Beats by dre Studio or VModa m80

  • @johmaco1

The beats have much better sound qualiy :)

  • @OriginalMindTrick you are a retard.

  • @Scorix

I guess irony is hard to see when written

  • @johmaco1 get the V-moda crossfade LP beats are for kids.

  • I was one of the lucky users on Head Fi to get to review the M80 and be part of the V-Moda Discussion. They are the first set of portable, on ear headphones with excellent sonic quality but retain a slightly warm low end. They are both fun to listen to and retain entry level Hi Fi audio quality. This is an immensely rare combination and one that I am extremely happy to own. Val put his soul into this set and it really shows.

  • You posted this review at a perfect timing so I can check this out! Thank you so much!

  • @PCGameplayVids2 jk wrong cans. :c

  • When do you plan on doing a review for the Crossfade LP2 by V-MODA because I can't find any reviews on them :/ I can only find videos and reviews on the regular LP

  • I read different reviews of the aiaiai tma-1 and those who reviewed them said they were as good or better than the dt1350's and the hd25's

Hopefully you'll find the time to prove them right or wrong

  • what about the cross fades LP 2

  • How are these compared to the B&W P5's?

  • Whence cometh LCD-3 review?

  • I would also like a review of both the LP and LP2 as well...since your on the v-moda bandwagon?

  • For the money I spent for these I could buy Audio Technica M50 or Pro700MK or even Sennheiser HD 518. However, are V-Moda at the same level as those I've mentioned?

  • @chunky1x Go ahead buy these. They have great sound quality and great features. Also, can you put your face on the M-50's? I think not.

  • @endlessman1 I was think of looking first at the over the ear version because I don't like on ear.

  • u cut ur hair

  • for all you people wondering about the difference between the crossfade lp's and the m-80's from what ive read the m-80 are geared more towards the audiophile community and have a much better sound than the lp's but you might still want to do some research on which you buy depending on your budget

  • I've been eyeing these headphones for some time now but I don't think I will dish out the cash for these. I would rather get the HD25s :D BTW nice review as usual, keep em coming :)

  • Have you've tried the V-moda Crossfade LP? How are these compared to those? And do you recommend those over Pioneer HDJ 2000?

  • These or the B&W P5?

  • Sound impression starts at 6 :44

  • Tyll, will you be reviewing/comparing the crossfade LP2 headphones with this one in the near future?

  • I have the crossfade lps. Seem identical to these except over the ear. They have made everything I listen to so much more enjoyable.

  • I love you're vid reviews man, you are the best at it so fluid like youre just talking to me and no one else...you're like the white version of my querido papa(my dad) keep up the good work...any chance that you might review the aiaiai tma-1's?

    -Dan-

  • You should definitely review the V-Moda Crossfade LP headphones. I realize they're not on your celeb endorsed list of headphones, but they can be because of the personalizing qualities you spoke of in this video. I personally like over ear headphones better and I respect your opinion on all of your reviews. If you got around to reviewing them at some point it's be much appreciated.

  • or they better (sounding) then the "big ones" crossfade Lp

  • @Scorix Well I think it depends what you're looking for. The Crossfade LP2 got even stronger bass response, more neutral mids/highs while M-80 has a bit more forward midrange and less bass. I like a strong bass response and neither do I like on-ear so Crossfade LP2 looks like a better option to me but it certainly doesn't have to be the case for every1, maybe not Tyll either for example.

  • It'd be worth investing in a decent camera. 360p is a bit shabby

  • I hope you will do a review of the new Crossfade LP2 ! Cuz I've got my eyes set on that one but it's not available in EU yet but I'd love to see the usual tests you do on the headphones before purchasing too. :)

  • these headphones or the audiotechnica ath-m50s?

  • @jellybomb5 I am torn between the two also and am still after reading and watching so many reviews :|

  • @jellybomb5 I had the same question, it seems alot of other people did too. did he send u a message?
