pollock is in the cod family of which could have negative consequences for the world food supply and the entire Bering Sea ecosystem if fished out. Halibut, salmon, endangered Steller sea lions, fur seals, and humpback whales all eat pollock and rely on healthy populations to sustain themselves. Letting fish rot on deck is wrong. It looks like higher standards are needed here.
Need another deckhand? When can I come aboard, I worked the longliners offshore Fla. I'm a damn good butcher and deckhand. I also have an A.A.S. in machine and manufacturing, so I would make one hell of an engineer or machinist-mate.
