What I like the most, is in the closing scenes, the Extra-Large Mouse & Cat are not "rivals", anymore, as if they signed a peace-treaty. More than that, I like thew drawing & scene of the cat thinking, "brainstorm" over its head & almot appears that rain in falling over the cat's head!
Agreed! I'm in my late 20's and it seems that lots of people my age don't really know or appreciate Tex Avery's work and "Whoa...I've been sick!" is a line I use all the time! Some people get it, others don't. But it's so cute! I love how he used the gag again in "Slap Happy Lion" with the Alligator.
Thank you for posting. Incredibly fun. "Whoa! I've been sick." has to be one of the all-time most memorable lines from any classic cartoon. Avery had the genius of making the figurative literal.
A true classic. Sure it's one joke, but only Tex Avery can take it over the top each step of the way. Great build up, great character voices, one of my all-time favorite cartoons. Thanks for posting!
