The car is also 98% recyclable. The smartville factory has a waste output of only 2% of used resources as compared to Toyota's much higher percentage for production of the Prius.

Wow, the first half was promising, but bam you just shot it down like everyone else does.

Of petrol powered cars, the smart gets the highest EPA MPG rating and long term owners report that they even get MPG equal to a Prius. Why the heck to claim that MPG is mediocre?

It has less of a carbon footprint than any other petrol powered vehicle on US roads and even rivals that of the Prius.

If you pay attention instead of getting your Smart panties in a bunch, I say that it's slow and pointless, not just the gas mileage is unimpressive. The Yaris seats four comfortably, carries your stuff, is zippy and gets only slightly worse gas mileage - on 87 - not 92.

It's not really all too slow at all. It has equal acceleration as large SUVs and the exact (if not faster) acceleration as the Civic Hybrid.

Pointless, I think not. It fits perfectly in city environments yet it'll hold its own elsewhere. The benefits it offers could not be found in any other car sold in America.

And talk about smartUSA's President, he actually like to communicate with owners, he doesn't make himself invisible like other Presidents of other companies.

News flash, it has a manual tranny. It's an automated manual transmission. That means no clutch pedal and you can have it shift by itself, or you can shift it with those paddles or shift lever.

When something 'manual' is then 'automated' doesn't that make it 'automatic'? I meant genuinely 'manual'

No, an automated manual transmission is different from an automatic transmission

In a automated manual, it is a manual transmission ran by a computer program and an automatic clutch. But it offers the option for you to do manual shifting without a clutch pedal. Thart's why the smart shifts slow.

In an automatic, it doesn't offer the manual shifting option and it shifts faster and by itself.
