  • Wait!! Are you holding Ren & Stimpy 's cup?? That's my favorite cartoon!!

  • @thatjapanesegirl Why yes it is a Ren & Stimpy cup. This one I actually bought when I was living in Ishikawa Prefecture.

  • DC's music was tasty in this video

  • @HebinoMetaru Aye, 'tis. I'm trying to get more used to including BGM in scenery vids.

  • Old building, but it looks pretty cool. It has....... character.

  • @klynik Character and soul.

  • Hahaha, I liked the intro and how you left the muffin recepie in the sidebar. : P

  • @MasakiHikaru Just added the chocolate chip muffin recipe I plan to try next.

  • I like that building ... I would love to film skits in that place.

  • That building is cool.... old but its different!!

  • lemme get at those corn muffins

  • @AntoneX6 Recipe in the sidebar. ;-D

  • That building is a very cool find!! Love the elevator!

  • I felt like I was watching the Matrix world.

  • @hemi4ku That building they all get trapped in during the first movie, right? That exact same thought occurred to me.

  • dude i keep watching this especially for the food..DAMN that looks good.

  • Art Deco eat your heart out.

Make me want to play Bioshock or design a Metropolis poster.

  • @delbertmon Make me want to clean my place so I can fit a decent television and xbox 360 and then play bioshock...

  • @ElevenColors do it. you won't regret it. I harvested the little sisters... and i don't regret it.

  • lol the opening should be part of your legend too!

By the way what were you doing in such an ancient building? Did you time travel? :P

  • LOL, I almost got the impression of a L♥ve Hotel with the circa 1920's Elevator and floor-indicator complete with 20's-era font ^^

  • @TAz69x Funny thing, I can't imagine any love hotels going for an old and classy look. It's all clean and fashionable and modern. Comfortable, but with no soul.

  • that was pretty darn cool James. Only seen those elevators in movies.

  • Interesting building. What is it? An apartment complex, hotel, shopping center?

  • @waigugi The place seemed packed with tiny little one room art galleries.

  • j-j-j-j-j-japan~

  • Thank your uploading this videos! I'm beginning to need a daily dose of them

  • @synterlu Interesting... Too bad I've got two strikes against my account. Otherwise I'd consider going partner.

  • Interesting.

    Thanks for sharing.

Those muffins looked good too.. I need to make me some now!

  • Its like that old old house I saw in Gotanda, two story place that looked like it was from some post apocalyptic movie, and around there where some new fancy big buildings.

  • Aah~ very scary when you opened that door at 3:21. I scary when you opened that door at 3:21. I thought a ghost or a poltergeist would pop-out!

Very intersting.I think, since i recently subscribed, this is the first time i have seen you have a conversation in japanese

    とても上手いですよね~(^-^)

  • Very mad little elevator-I giggled when it went straight by your floor.

    Basilian fit the footage well!

  • @benzone50 Yah. Tiny little thing. Capacity of 4 people, 280 kg. So I can kind of understand that when it got a call, it went straight to that floor without stopping in between.

  • We got to get DC to do a full on video for his music. for a minute i though you were in NYC but I heard Japanese. hahaha but really is cool to see stuff like that will throw you off guard every once in a while.

  • @Apokalypse34 Yeah I was telling other folks there, in NYC this building would be full of apartments.

  • i thought i was the only one who cared about doors that u get to open manually...there r still a few left in the paris metro system and i've been told that i act like a kid at christmas when i see one of these old trains arriving.

  • @qchome They have those doors on trains?! That's nuttily cool.

I want to ride on a pater noster too.

  • There were plenty of paternosters around Germany, before they got outlawed for safety reasons. I rode plenty in my youth and the last one about 20 years ago in an old office building.

    Great fun.

  • @chibile If I ever visit Europe, that's going to have to be a goal. Ride on a pater noster. Surely some countries still have them.

  • Wow, an elevator with a door you have to open and close manually. And in Ginza of all places.

  • @NintendoGamer86 Yeah this place was like two minutes from The Apple Store.

  • 3:21 am this is not what i need to see...i am so damn hungry...damn it.

  • @betamaxdc I'll add a link to the muffin recipe in the sidebar. Amazingly simple. Only tricky part is finding corn meal (Kaldi's Coffee Farm, Shimokitazawa South Exit store has baking stuff on the second floor) and muffin baking trays (fifth floor of Seiyu in Sangenjaya) and measuring cups that I brought from the States... okay maybe not so easy...

POINT is, there's always something you can make.

  • @betamaxdc Funny thing about the rice ball... Bought one, just as I was getting out of the elevator in front of my door, fumbled and dropped it on the hallway floor. Went back to the store, bought another.

  • Are they that tasty?

  • @Ido013 Extremely so!

  • Are they called 肉チーズにぎり? Where can we get them?

  • @Ido013 にくまきおにぎり。 Video uploading now.

  • Ooh, looks like a kind of place out of a horror movie. Creepy.

  • @novanine Tokyo has a very small number of buildings that have been around since before WWII, since the Taisho era, and they are beautiful in a way that no modern building is. Love places like this.
