10:40 listen to mitchell. just brilliant. IF BRITAIN IS GOING TO BE A WHORE. WE MUSTN'T FORGET TO CHARGE BEFORE WE'VE BEEN FUCKED. just sare brilliance.
@01Volume I don't know quite why they chose to do this program live, but I do like the choice. All the little quirks and unforeseen bits of live television (which is carefully written and rehearsed after all, it's not totally free-form improvisation) are much appreciated especially in America, where "live" television seems oddly un-spontaneous and prefab; honestly, why hasn't anyone streaked on the set of Dancing With the Stars?
Quite a few of the segments (especially David Mitchell's) remind me of the 'rants' of Rick Mercer of 'The Rick Mercer Report' (formerly of 'This Hour Has 22 Minutes'), in Canada, on CBC TV. Rick's stupendously popular special, 'Talking to Americans', departs from that format (but definitely worth watching!). I am really enjoying this. Thank you very much, sn0otchie, for letting the rest of the world see/hear this.
Good for them for having the balls to allow Charlie to look at the Japan problems; I sometimes feel like if this programme didn't feel like it always had to be fast, flash, joke a minute style it'd be better. Still enjoying the series, BIG thanks to SnOotchie!
@janeeyre1990 She makes sure they keep up with schedule. If you noticed, she usually says it's time move on so that the show doesn't all fall to bits. It's long and varied so I think it must be difficult to manage.
@janeeyre1990 I think it might be that she's been doing the end phrase "it's 10 o'clock live on channel 4 and this is 10 o'clock live" every week. But she would be wrong about that, I think David did it once. But it's usually her. That seems like something she just happens to get stuck with, but always being in charge of throwing to break and wrapping up is probably a more definite part of her job. So I don't think she would be commenting on it in that way.

I see they've gotten the audience to shut up so the introductions are actually audible this time.... I did like the enthusiasm before though,
