  • I have a Singer 241-11 and it was working but the needle broke and I put a new needle in the machine. Somehow this Schmetz 90/14 is way too short. What can I do to fix this/

  • More specifically...our needle does move down, but, it's not picking up any bobbin thread. The bobbin seems to be able to be inserted ok, as always, but the needle is no longer picking up that thread. Please help.

  • FYI...we have a Singer 2010 model.

  • @pmitsos You may have a broken gear or timing belt. If you want to remove the bottom cover, you will probably see broken pieces of one of the 2 gears under the bobbin area.

  • We have a problem with our machine. I think it's a model 2010 (it was bought about 25 years ago, and has been working perfectly since then). Right now, the needle is not picking up the bobbin thread. What can we do?

  • Jim, I have a Husquavarna 64-40, I need a Instruction Manual on PDF.

Would you have anything on your website or could you show simple instruction how to set the dials to the particular stitches. I want to do it right and usually only need the

straight stitch, basci sewing. I do not have any of the xtra attachments to use or anything like the origional came with.

    Thank you

  • @debfass54 I can send you a copy of the book for $14.95 + a little shipping if you are in the lower 48 states.

  • @conradobugia Begin with the first 2 DVDs and then learn everything I teach on those 2 DVDs. Then get the next 2 DVDs = 3 and 4.......then eventually order all the rest until you learn everything on all 27 DVDs.

  • thankd for taking the time to share with us 0:10

  • It's not so much on the new machines learning how to repair them but how to persuade the manufacturers to sell parts and specific tools, or to get parts cheap enough to make repair more desirable than junking it and buying another new Chinese piece of crap. Most times the new machines are so cheap and such junk that repair is silly, or parts are sky high or not available. Computers and printers are doing the same anymore in an attempt to sell new rather than allow repairs to old.

  • I am starting my repair business and was wondering if you had any tips about obtaining parts, there are a lot of closed doors out there.

  • Maybe it would be nice, if in the sales video, you could give a simple lesson or introduction to your teaching style to encourage people to actually order the whole series.

  • @pignanelli I have ordered several video's from Jim, and I think they are really good. Sometimes a little boring, but I find that learning is boring, yet necessary to get to the next step.
