  • That was awesome! :-) I have lamented over a lot of the same things. The "planned obsolescence" of goods, has got to be one of the most evil tricks, manufacturers have played on us. It used to be, "you get what you pay for." Now it makes no difference how much you pay. Everything has a predetermined lifespan. Usually a short one.

  • Another fantastic video from truthseeker, thank you,,,,,,love and peace people....xx

  • Great video. I was arguing economics with a guy and brought up the concept of planned obsolescence. He said, "no company would build a product that was designed to break after a given amount of time, the free market would drive him out of business". I didn't even try to explain perceived obsolescence and the fashion industry. I disagree when you said we didn't hear about climate change. I'm 62, we learned about the greenhouse effect in elementary school. I agree that consumerism doesn't work.

  • Brilliant!! ahaha This is a little classic really :)

I remember much of these days too and yes, modern day life seems crazy compared to back then

  • Cheers Truthseeker. That was real good and similar to how it was when I was growing up in New York. Peace

  • This was absolutely brilliant!!

I remember having to walk to school and everywhere else even though my dad had a car. You did not hear of children being abducted by peodophiles or anything like that. People took care of each other.

In the supermarkets your stuff was packed in a paper bag which was then turned into a monster mask to play with.

  • Great vid! I'll take a handful of plastic bags and I'll CARRY my shopping home by WALKING. My conscience is clear. Next time you are at a supermarket look at the number of people with their eco / canvas bags loading up their brand new or almost new SUV gas guzzlers or even their regular family car which has used up around 7 GALLONS of oil just to produce each TYRE! I'll take the plastic bags and walk thank you. And anyway, what happened to the days when shops used sturdy PAPER bags?

  • Love it and so so true. :)

  • Spud4X said 'Absolutely brilliant!' have to agree - thumb up & spread it people

  • @ill318 Cheers Spud

  • Why are the supermarkets playing the guilt trip card when they are producing non-bio degradable bags? Maybe they should get their finger out and start making bio degradable bags.

  • How stupid we were back then :-D

    Absolutely brilliant!
