If you ever picked up a collar, you saw it has many settings. Ranging from a tickle that you would never recognize as electrical, up to strong enough to stop even the most vicious dog fight or attack.
If you are saying that the lower settings are uncomfortable you are simply a lier.
Your unfamiliarity with the products and your willingness to ignorantly judge and misinform others is evil.
Once your dog is familiar only lowest setting needed. E-collars save many lives!

To blame the collar for not stopping a 180 mastiff is ignorant. ANY improperly used training aid would have failed to stop that dog. What if the owner had a leash on the dog but let it go? The responsibility lies with the owner, NOT the training tools.
