It's funny, first time i played ShoC i got this ending and got pretty dissapointed. I didn't realize that the game had several endings until i decided to play it through again (when new patches were released.) When i first discovered the truth about the Monolith i was like WHOA O_O

I don't know exactly but i think i am the only one here who got the best ending (refusing C-councioness and destroying it) the first time i have beaten the game. And rest asured , i used the walkthrough only (ONLY) at the X-18 because i did not know that i had to kill a "geist".

joining the C-councioness is the best ending, if youll destroy it then the zone is destroyed, by destroying the zone you destroying expensive artifacts and some very important scince works, and then there is no "Call O f Pripyat" if the zone is destroyed
