what Ambedkar failed to do(social equality) was greatly done by PERIYAR- father of tamil nadu in tamil nadu... ideologies of both were same; both supported british; but till his death periyar was against congress and gandhi and theists...only because of him tamil nadu stands outstanding in development despite having corrupted CMs for decades...if north too had a 'periyar', our country would have become socially equal, women's status would have been improved...!!!

Dr. ambedkar was the chairman of the draftin comitee of the constitution. he copied and pasted the british constitution with very few additions for providing safegurads for the dalits. however the reality today is that the constitution has totaly and absolutely failed the common man. The maoist / naxal movement is trying to usher in a change in our model of politics. ambedkar failed us miserably and hence the maoists are intent on changing our constitution.

True, Ambedkar drafted the major portion of the constitution, cause all the so called savarniya , 7 committee members, deserted him , to do the job alone. While presenting it, Ambedkar warned the parliament that, "constitution kitna bhi achcha kyon na ho, use implement karnewale log achche nahi ho to woh fail hoga! aur bura constitution ho to bhi log achche ho to woh success hoga! " Now if u want, blame it on Ambedkar and wait for maoists to kick u on your ass and drag u to the jungle !!

What kind of observation is that? In the pre independence era India was governed by the "Government of India Act" and there are significant differences between Indian Constitution and that act.

Confused? don't be, Ambedkar may be a politician according to others, but he was really a god to the dalit, who is oppressed by the powerful selfish hindu savarniya samaj, by thousands of years. He is a ray of light to the dalit , to fight the dark, in sabhya hindu savarniya samaj.
