i love lightwave more than any other 3D app even maya. it is a dream come to to work with and it has the fastest, easiest and best renderer i've ever used (and i've used all of them) but this promo reveal sucks majorly. my god i could have created a better promo in my basement with my cell phone cam.

No. CORE isn't a complete solution yet and comes bundled w/ LW.

Wow. You're calling it the 'toolbar' nice!. very inventive. Come on Newtek get your sh*t together 2 years in development and you get these nerdburgers to present your demo material. Sheesh!

Blender has a painter and sculpting tools, it's free also running under "python". If LWcore will have a SIMPLE aura tvpaint like painting and sculpt tools I am glad to buy Lightwave10 and love it again.

They had two years to think about how they were going to present the launch of Lightwave core, and this was the best they could do? Totally dull.

Indeed the CEO of Newtek apologized for this lackluster reveal after the very successful Viral Countdown page.

That said, it's always easier for people who come afterward to fix the mistakes. Newtek actually frightened Autodesk (yes, that autodesk) and Luxology sufficiently that both of these companies are now engaging their own viral marketing for their own reveals!
