Wow, a fantastic way to show the fun of SKN! I'll have to make sure I get my boat anchors on the air this year ... I missed last year. 73 es CUL de KY4Z
What specific components are required to be able to produce recordable sounds with a straight key? That is without direct radio operation equipments, but rather whatever produces the mere signal in and of itself.
I am very interested in experimenting with Morse code.
Son, you got my heart pumping with those fine sounds and videos! Thank you for all of your effort. Now I have a really good reason to join in on the next SKN.
I love working CW !!!! Stay away from the Yaesu FT-897D radio as I had one for one year and three months and it had computer problems by transmitting on both side bands at once. Yaesu would not repair it under any discount as the warranty was just up !!!! Junk radio ! Yaesu is not what they were years ago !!!
Good for Peanut! Love your videos. I grew up in CO and still miss the mountains. Going to get at least my Technician license this year and learn to pound brass. Thanks!
Enjoyed the viedeo. I used 'pause' to check out the great collection of keys and rigs, commercial and handmade. Wish I had never sold my KW TS-820S. Will go on the fav. list, de WD8IOL James
Thanks for taking the time to make a GREAT Video on SKN. I too had a great time operating my first SKN and worked 3 stations running 40 watts with Drake T4x and R4C. Fun to slow down and feel the moment. Again thanks. Bob
Awesome video - excellent theme and format, very entertaining and quite interesting! This is Ham Radio as I remember it 40 years ago!!! --- Keep it up! de Howard K3HW (first license WN3MCK April of 69)
Steve... Great video. I was hoping to have the old KW TS-520 running by SKN, but no luck. Just finished it a few days ago. Oh well, next year I'll have my Tempo One restored and on the air...
Great video and very professional Steve! Great walk down "the old times" when this equipment and keys were the "standard"! I could smell the ozone! Guy, N7UN/2
What music is under video ?
