  • orang2 malay pada gak tau sejarah...& also don't want to know about the true history because if they know it, they will be shame for having nothing. however...tak ada yg disebut malay, indo, philippina,... smua itu satu bangsa besar namanya Jawa/ Jawi. Tengoklah di sejarah, historical records proof it.

  • Selamat pagi!

Thank you for uploading this video..........as a collector i enjoyed it very much!

  • KERIS swords originated in the 13th century on the island of JAVA in the INDONESIAN archipelago, and MIGRATED to the Philippines, Malaysia, and various Southeast Asian countries.

artinya lo tuh bangsa latah apa2 ikut. batik ikut, keris ikut, pencak silat ikut... nenek moyang ente tuh asalnya dari sumatra alias indonesia jangan sombong lah..

  • y'all are trippin man.keris is fuckin indonesian shit,it aint from malaysia.cant y'all see that the tittle says "Keris The JAVANESE Blade"

  • @tempurterlak paling senang kata keris adalah hak milik seluruh ras melayu (jawa, sunda, bugis, melayu, aceh, bali), xyah la kata hak milik Indonesia ataupun Malaysia

  • kalau di beri nama Javanese blade, Malay blade, Minang blade, Sunda Blade, Bugis blade ngak apaan bg gue, tp gue gak suka myebut Indonesia blade, Malaysia Blade, Singapore blade..nampak aneh

  • @FaridElhanMalaysia what the helll!!!its malay blade!!jangan pikir smua indon punya!!indon ngak punya apa2!!!

  • Keris for sale

Keris berdiri tanpa sarung untuk di jual

    Klik link di bawah

  • Really, I want to know how ancient Keris smiths made the curves of the blade so perfect, yet used such crude tools.

  • @Klagermeister Same here, some of the details in keris look like they grew right out of the steel like a plant or something.

  • great video. im thinking about getting a keris tattoo but want to learn more about it before i make the decision

any websites or books people recommend?

  • The longer versions of keris are found in the Philippines.

  • Thanks for this wonderful video! I found it very informative! =)

  • even the word "Keris" is derived from Old Javanese word "Ngiris"

  • @evinderman it hiris!!!from malay word!!stop claiming all yours!!!

  • @tempurterlak lalu apa makna keris dalam bahasa melayu?????

  • Javanese keris smiths fled 1600s Majapahit EmpireSuccession Wars following death of Amengkurat & rise of Bantam.

Majapahit covered near all SE Asia- including

Taiwan- Formosa (Suraya when Ainu Austronesians were not outnumbered by post 1650's Chinese lick-ass workers of the Dutch)

    Vasselages/posessions of Java

    Patani

    Champa- of Kambuja (Cambodia)

Khmer districts- (Angkor Wat &Thom were designed & built by Javanese architects)

    Singapore (Temasek)

    Malaysia is Minang land

  • Oldest keris archeological evidence= Candi Gendut(?) date 1230s AD & in Majapahit royal tombs in Trowulan date 1300 AD in Central (East) Java

Malaysia, Philippines, Pattani etc keris all from Java

Meriam (correct name) also left Java around 1630's due to Succession war.

Java had the advanced bronze skills to duplicate Portuguese cannon.

    Meriam = breech-loading swivel-cannon incorrect English= "lantaka"

Named where US Marines take as souvenirs from Lantaka (Phillippines) (from the Moro) 1890s

  • Keris is from Java/Indonesia and is now found across S.E.A because of the Javanese diaspora.

UNESCO confirmed Keris as Java/Indonesian heritage.

  • keris is nusantara blade. if it is javanese blade..then how come izzit can be found in pattani, southern thailand?. get ur facts right. keris is weapon for pesilat. silat can be found acrross entire south east asia. so..u wanna say thailand also maling keris?

  • @MrSgpetani well as you said, keris is nusantara blade, and do you know where is the capitol of this nusantara in 13th century? guess what its mojopahit in east java.

  • @MrSgpetani

yes. Keris was spread as a status accessoire and prestige item during various Indonesian kingdoms, largest and most influential was Majapahit, during the 2nd Mataram.

ASEAN formed by Indonesia based on 2nd Mataram territorial boundaries- hence no Chinamen allowed- only Austronesians.

With exception of British colonial collaborator and super ass-licker supreme- Chinamen in Malaysia and Singapura.

  • @purbanegoro

I firmly believe that the Austronesian countries in south east Asia should unify into one glorious country.

  • made in java

  • Masyaallah eyangku koq nongol di video ini.. itu yang masang keris ke sri sultan

  • IKeris folded Tempered steel is still interesting

  • Ann Kumar did an interesting paper on Javanese Japanese Connections, her research is on target. Theres a good idea of how old it is, then theres the other jealous version. Possible All metallurgy evolved during the same era

  • i've read her work on this: its a bit flimsy don't you think? its very interesting, but to think that the javanese actually went to japan to participate in the yayoi revolution seems a little too far fetched.

  • Theres Burma, Cambodia, Java, all use something similar to this, and the longer versions found close to tibet central Asia and Mongolia

  • the question is how old is the weapon, The keris uses the same process as the Samarai sword, with genetics, and linguistics, the process of this spread throughout Asia, or at least contributed, also I'm wondering about the Kantaka

  • the keris was developed and perfected first in java, before it spread out to various parts of southeast asia. so yes, keris is a javanese weapon.

  • I now own a Ladrang Solo keris made with Scandinavian meteorite. While I'm a student of a Sumatran form of silat, I was drawn to this keris and I will treasure it forever!

  • There is similar culture between Thailand and Java. In the past java used sanskirt alphabet.

  • and so does in Thailand, southern part of Thailand. (ปืนใหญ่จอมสลัด) search for that thai word in youtube and you see in this Thai movie, they also use keris

  • I see the picture of movie prince of langkasuka, great picture, and nice kerises, I think it's belong to great collector.

  • langkasuka is a malay empire...which is the kedah empire...im from kedah..the thai movie langkasuka is shown the malay empire which is in southern thai n northern malaysia..at that time..the southern malaysia is belong to sriwijaya kingdom..peace

  • this is a highly controversial 'empire' which has very few to back it up historically. langkasuka is not proven in the sense that the majapahit empire and its effects have been proven by scientists.

  • original from indonesia!!!

  • Tausug in philippines also used keris, it belongs to all that share the same ancestral roots.

  • keris is also javanese culture, its also belong to all nusantara like malay, sunda, bugis, minang and etc. we are all same..

  • pahin Jip! wis melingkupi! :)

  • Meant to Say Keris not Kris...

  • Wow!! This is the first one that I have seen in English. You did an awsome job! Even though i'm an American I'm proud to say that I own a 7 luk Kris of meteor (1800's), A Ni Sombro, one by Empu Supa Majapahit Kingdom and a Kujang from the Pajajaran Kingdom and I'm looking to get one a Empu Djeno Harumbrodjo when I can afford the dowry...

  • @faustia44 Wow that's great bro, try mastering it and unlock its hidden powers if you can. even though its short like a dagger but i can a sure you that its no ordinary weapon.......

  • Keris, the javanish weapon......

  • thanks for posting this great video!

  • sangat bagus.

    aku cinta budaya indonesiaku

  • wonderful.

  • awesome, god bless indonesia

  • god bless jawa
