  • Good man simple advice here in the first 20 sec. Cheers.

  • So ummmmmm...very confused what you are doing? Looks like not much

  • @mathisto21 I advise checking out my newer vids my friend. ; )

  • The beats sound half way decent in this low quality video, so I would expect them to sound great in person.

  • nice tune.

  • seriously this guy is fucking pants...i dont normally b trollin to each his own but hes dancin around like hes doing something and the people commenting actually think hes doing something...what i dont get is how you had the balls to put that vid online.

  • @goofarty Did you know, some people dance to music? The more you know.

  • @b0xD wat r you talking about this is supposed to be a tutorial vid not fat boy dance infront of midi keyboard he doesnt hav a fucking clue how to use :(

  • @goofarty apparently he knows how to use it more than you do.

  • @e1337r0ck3rX7 ?? how do you figure that ?? i piss all over this dude.

  • nice drum track

  • I dont get it, what are you mixing? cuz all you did was tune the effects as mentioned in the start, fade volume etc. not once did you loop a beat or use the pads.... i dont get it

  • i have a couple of synth vst plugins how do i use them on ableton?

  • awesome song man. kudos

  • NICE VID

  • catfoodpudding - your an idoit.

  • He was simply showing how it functions with Ableton Live. It wasn't a tutorial nor did he ever say it was...

  • you sound like an epic failure of a musician. i hope your mom kept the receipt for the music gear you got, cuz you are obviously too whack to figure it out.

  • Are you aware that you sound similar to Jack Black? Good video btw.

  • lol he does

  • wow, that was real nice man. great job, 5/5

  • Fat Dudes = Fat Beats. No one ever told you that, or how to spell either.

  • lol

  • have a serious problem @2real2touch I think that you have to leave you a little more your man! you must learn to treat people and not judge by appearances or personality of each person, you're like an animal without a conscience

  • @2real2touch maybe you should run to instead of wasting your time hating people on youtube

  • @sabotage1111 I run to you bitch, and your mother runs with me to. She sends regards ;) Think about it. I dont hate no one here it was just an opinion, even if you like it or not, fuck you. You´r the one wasting time here to answer me back only to say shit. I feel sorry for you.

  • Daaaaaamn....your a f@!king douche bag. how bout you go outside and run instead of posting insulting comments on peoples videos.

  • You should do a set up video...That would help out a lot!!

  • just bought the axiom 25 and Ableton...I'M LOST AND IN NEED OF SERIOUS HELP!!..I mean like idiots guide to...i'm a musician and have no clue on how to work this thing at all. I can't get sound to come out of the board or understand anything about the program

  • do you understand basic MIDI and how it works?

  • can somebody please tell me how to get sound on my axiom 25, i just got it and im totally frustrated with it...im using the software it came with ableton 4 i think...i cant get sound out of it!!help!!!and if its really easy im an idiot!!!HELP!!!

  • First, calm down. You might damage your new axiom, lol. Plug in USB, turn on, then fire up ableton. Insert a midi track and make sure its receiving the midi signal from the axiom by hitting a few keys. If the meter sees the signal then drop a soft synth of your choice on the midi track. Hit "arm" to start recording sounds. You can record loops or long evolving one-shots. Its up to you!

  • OK how do i insert a midi track..im like extremely new new!

  • Right click in the mixer area - then click insert midi track OR just press Ctrl + Shift + T.

  • dude.. read the manuel.. for me its like a class. im learning on my own.

so take some notes on the manuel a lil at a time. n study n wutnot...

    the manuel for axiom.

  • LOL he really look and sound like jack black.

  • thanks man.

  • good job. Thanks for taking the time to post.

  • This is sick no lie

but this is easy..all your doing is adding loops to each key, and playing them at once...

the trick is, can you play it yourself? on the 25?

  • I actually just triggered scenes with different combinations of clips and used the 8 knobs to fade volume in/out. When I get brave I play some live keys =D

  • i mean, dude you might as well be in a progressive rock or jazz band or play classical piano if thats how you feel about it. not trying to be a jerk or anything, just saying.

  • how did you map the pads?, they just give me notes, and with enigma i always send MIDI CC to the pads, and when i'm usin' ableton I want them to trigger clips, can you help me? i'm new at this.

  • im not hyped on ableton yet because i don't quite understand its power. But when wanted to his the pads to trigger clips, go to the option on the top right of the software that lets you assign keys for trigger, if you will.

  • hey can u or someone help me.. i downloaded enigma but idk like how to work it it is just there. .

is it a program i can run???

  • Enigma is a midi map creator / library. Once you have settings you would like to keep you can take a "snap shot" of your settings and save it into Enigma's library. I find this useful, but most midi map settings on the Axiom25 I usually memorize. Enigma is not a program used to create music. Simply a midi editor // librarian.

  • so it doesnt use like a "shortcut" or wut?

i cant "run" it? u use memory dump for it right.

  • What program are u using the Axiom with? Enigma isnt for creating music.

  • oh nvm. im using my axiom 25 with ableton live lite 6.

uuh when u first download does it come with synths? where can i download more of them? or how? thx.

  • Live lite 6 might not be equipped with many midi devices, thought It does have a solid library of sounds to start with as well as many FX modules. Live 7 or 8 has much more to offer than the Lite version, try getting the latest version to use with the Axiom.

  • Another couple good reasons to look into the latest version is better midi capabilities, and endless vst plugin (soft synth) usage, and unlimited audio/midi tracks.

  • thx alot but im sort of a beginner. i want to learn one step at a time. when i downloaded the live lite 6 that came with my axiom 25 it didnt come with any sounds in the library at all. i was wondering if i could like , go on a website and download those sounds. is that possible? or go on a homepage and dowload them. (or like put them in the folder for the sounds) is any of that possible?

or am i stuck with the default/first sounds any program comes with. like fl studios. can it get more

  • thx alot i really appreciate it.

  • Reminds me of Aphex Twin.

  • Yous sound like jack black.

  • Also, I have found that the keys feel much better than a lot of other midi keyboards because they are semi-weighted and are super sensitive to note velocities and after-touch giving your MIDI data a much more human feel. The 8 rotary encoders send ranges of values very smoothly and the velocity pads are super responsive and rarely double trigger.

  • Nice beats, man; do you usually stand when working?

I think I might invest in an Axiom 25 - seems like a solid and capable device from the reviews I've watched. Thanks!

  • are you using the axiom as your audio interface?

  • The Axiom itself isn't used as an audio interface. Only to send different types of MIDI messages.

  • excellent music,id buy youre stuff,brilliant

  • How can you use those knobs?I would be very glad if I may I explained. thank's! sorry for the bad english!

  • I recommend checking out my latest video explaining more details of midi mapping in ableton live. Thanks for watching people!

  • This sounds really good, I'm going to invest in one of these some time soon, thanks for the upload man, good to know it's worthwhile (y)

  • dance tutorial :)

  • Very nice music but I wouldnt call tihis a tutorial =)

  • No bad!....No bad!

  • so many people see to only use the pads and knobs on this keyboard...i bought it mostly for the keys lol...

  • You're right - at the time I made this video I wasn't too confident with my skills on the keys, but things have progressed in the last year or so. If anyone is interested I will make an updated video to more accurately showcase the capabilities of this nifty controller along with the others I have gotten recently Including the FCB1010 and Evolution UC-33.

  • dewwit

  • That would be cool. Dude that is awesome tune...

  • Couldn't agree more!

  • me too!

  • buena musica lo que tienes en tu midi controller... definitivamente mucho mas interesante que la mierdita techno que he visto en otros videos. Keep up the good work!

  • very sweet dude. helps alot thanks. more motivational than a tutorial to me. i just got one so i needed some motivation

  • not bad video but the music is anoying ...

  • I like the music from this "tutorial video" but this "Tutorial" doesn't really show me how to use it; more of, this is what it can do like he says...It's NOT a tutorial.

  • I made this video assuming viewers already know the basics of midi and how ableton live works. If I were to make a tutorial video on every function of the controller in general, regerdless of what DAW you are using it with maybe that would be more informative to more folks.

  • I just got an Axiom 25, and I'm trying to figure out square one. I've never used a DAW and/or a midi control surface. I was also hoping this was an actual "tutorial" on how to set the damn thing up and do some Ableton Live basics. If I already knew how to use Ableton and the control surface, I wouldn't have queried "tutorial"...

  • cool video man

i just got a axiom 25 and i've had it for about 2 weeks and i havent been able to hear a sound because i dont know how to set it up on ableton live lite 6 if you know how to set it up or how to use the axiom 25 could please reply back or anyone else who reads this thanks

  • i was also looking for an actual tutorial. disappointing.

  • i like your track, very nice style. sick beats.

  • when i play the keyboard theres a delay between me hitting the keys and what i hear. any way to fix this?

  • In ableton Live there's a latency(delay) option menu in the Options/preferences/midi sync menu. Drop down the Input menu for your axiom25 and you can alter the Midi Clock Sync Delay by the Milasecond. Toy around with that and play keys as you try different increments until it sounds just right.

  • whats a midi clock?

  • i've never heard of "midi clock". but i have heard of "midi time code (MTC) and wordclock". basically these are elements crucial to synchronization.

  • que viejo cirquero !!!!

  • what about making a tutorial for axiom25 with reason 4.0??? I still cant get the damn knobs to work right or the stabs.

  • This is a DOPE track. Not only a tutorial, but also a taste of your style. great stuff. I just purchased this controller and live 7 as well. for awhile i was trying to decide between this and an mpd24, but i stuck with this. thank you for your video, its givin me reassurance that i picked a good controller =)

  • You'r better than the beatles. Thanks

  • hey dude thanks for the tutorial ive been looking to buy one of these for a while now i see what imma look foreward too

  • stop the dancing, more education, you suck! your music really sucks sounds like a bad nitros trip, wah wah wah wah, really sucks

  • You sound like you've had too many bad nitros trips, cranky asshole.

  • Hey thanks, seem like all you were trying to do was help...if you get what you came for so be it if not keep it moving ...Pimpn!

    Thx dude...

  • im not here to question your dancing or musical talent i apreciate what you're doing, but could you make a more in depth tutorial for the axiom 25 because i am completely new to the midi world and i need some help getting started. like for example how to start everything right out of the box

  • cool

  • Don't fret these douche tubes. They don't walk the walk like you. You got first on Axiom 25 and Ableton. I just ordered them both. Nice post and sick track. Looking forward to more posts.

  • negative..

  • good vid, thanks dude.

  • how is this a tutorial?

  • Alright put the hating to a rest. Yes the dancing is questionable, no these aren't my best tracks - and this video is for demonstration only. I will be uploading more videos soon showing more of the basics to get things started with the axiom25 and ableton live. Thanks for the feedback (negative and positive)!!!! -Chris

  • Damn looks like I'm gonna have to upload a video w/axiom 25 and ableton so that all you guys know that it can make way better shit than this... plus we don't all dance like that. Lol if this guy dj'd at a club where I come from I don't know if they would laugh harder at his music or his dancing.

  • So where DO you come from? A fucking farm?

  • maaadd daawwggg

  • jingo lala....shake shake bon bon

  • You dance doofy, :P

  • i gt da axiom 49

  • I am gonna try this @ home.....thank's !

  • not only a lack of tutorials for this controller but a lack of instructions and directions with the product.I just got mhy axiom 25 today.I've been sitting here for 5 hours trying to get it mapped out and working with the enigma program and abelton lite live 6 demo.PLEASE make a video on how to get started using enigma and the demo of abelton.teach us how to get this working quick.I realy want to play with this keyboard please teach me how to get sounds loaded to the keys.PLEASE.

  • If you are not able to check 4 comments under or make a youtube search. How are you planning of making music.

  • fl studio 8.

  • lol. how about you open windows media player put different songs in it. And there you go a real dj with proffessional songs . Way2go!

  • GREAT IDEA!

  • FAIL!!

  • poop

  • did you figure out how to set it up, i need some help

    thanks

  • stone cold kilt it!

  • veeeeeeeeeeeeeery nice song!!!

  • don't know what the hell you were doing but your "dancing" was kind of fly lol

  • How about telling us how you set up the knobs with the volume etc?

  • ?

use the automap inside ableton top right click the midi button then click on the volume for the track the turn the knob...it should work after you have it set up for the midi/audio tracks save the live set as a template and when you load up live it should be all set.

hope that helps if not then just ask im sure if i cant help somone else will

    peace

    Brian

  • Very cool video thanks

  • dat boy is flyer than a mug

  • trancy :0
