Mostly Billy Joel and other classic rock artists, especially the early years. I wrote this song for my wife, Jen, since she has been through a lot with me. I'm always inspired by people I come into contact with and none of my songs are 100% autobiographical. I create scenarios in my mind from what I've experienced in movies, books, etc. It is a bit of theatre so imagination plays a big part. My niece, Rachel, has always been an inspiration to me as well as the rest of my large family.
