  • Great book

  • Thank You for this beautiful documentary of Richard Wright and his works. I read 'Native Son' in college and identified son then being born in Memphis, Tn, lived also in Mississippi and Chicago. Now I live in England and am thrilled my husband has the Recorded Books Presents 'Black Boy' American Hunger in our library. I will be building from it all in my continued writings... Sincerely Tempie...Albert and Tempie

  • I just bought "Black Boy" and can't wait to read it.

  • I picked up Wright's novella, Right of Passage, by chance one day. He has such a clear, visual style with well-rounded characters and realistic themes. I'm started reading Native Son and hope to read more of his works in the future.

  • "I gave Native Son everything I had because once America reads it, I might never get another chance". - Richard Wright

The man was genius and we appreciate all of his hardwork and how he expressed the Black experience through his books without apology.

    Thanks for uploading this!
