  • Great vid, helps me in a few things

  • She's in G with D? That bitch!

  • But Eddie is the one who plays guitar on it..

  • Haha....that was awesome. Great job.

  • Great job

  • Hi Justin, Thanks heaps for the lesson, really easy lesson, especially the intro , which Eddie plays( yes he is the guitar player for this song)..he does all the intros in concerts.

  • ahah thanks, you rock

  • Dude you rock..She is love with D..haha

  • Great tutorial! I love that you're from Australia!

  • you should make a video for drummers who dont know how to play guitar so i can learn this for someone=)

    itd be appreciated.

  • Thanx....I needed that!

  • Lead guitar is Mike McReady and rythym is Stone Gossard.

  • 513,210 people now know how to play better man, including myself

    so good man

  • I love you man, cheers!

  • Very handy mate, thanks for that... The a asus4 then d dsus4 was what I wasn't too sure on... Cheers!

  • Great Job!! really appreciate it.

  • Thanks Man! Very easy to follow and I got it down real fast.

  • Good stuff man, I appreciate it!

  • love ya pal - thank you

  • mike mccready lead guitrist for pearl jam and stone gossard rythym/lead and thanku justin for an awesome lesson on a awesome song :)

  • as always, great lesson!

  • excellent!

    thank you!

  • awsome lesson!!! Thankssss

  • cut ur nails!!!

  • @80sbandsrock retard

  • MESA FREAKIN BOOGIE

  • great great lesson

  • Great lesson bro. Like the camera view and explaining. It is easier if your familiar with the guitar. Betterman sounds pretty slow at first anyway, and this was easy to watch. A couple of simple chords at first and slide on up. Just gotta listen to my playing and practice. Thanks for the great upload.

  • how long is the guys thumb nail 2:30 ????

  • @DuckHunterMatt you need long fingernails on your right hand for finger picking. You cut your left hand nails otherwise they will get in the way of the frets, but the right hand is fine, however his are fucking long

  • @Recovery82 They're not real they're acrylic nails.

  • more pearl jam??

  • Great lesson.

Is that a mouse in the end? Maybe a Ratata?

  • calm down. i just started playing and i was confused. i dont want to hear you calling me a idiot. you are the tard jumping to conclusions

  • @1995alexnky The guitar has lots of notes all over it. At first it can be confusing to figure where you want to start playing. Rythym and, or lead. Some people play it natural and some take more of a study to it and play. It's better to understand how open strings sound and then fretted, or (chord) strings sound and alternate. Picking and plucking. This lesson will appear easy throughout being better familiar with string sounds. Have fun, don't give up!

  • Justin - great lesson for a great song. An excellent relaxed video - again a winning post from you - thanks for all the effort and sharing. Champion stuff for all us newbies attempting these classics!!

Will have a Cascade for you! Cheers.

  • try making it clear how and which strings to pluck

  • @1995alexnky get better than in your listening skills, he clearly says strings 1 2 and 3 if you can't have the skill to listen to the string sounds themselves... he wont waste his time saying EVERY STRING he plucks... just plain idiocy

  • thanks man this helps a bunch

  • Old Stifmeister, u rock!!! :)

  • I don't think I've ever picked up a song that fast in my life. Thanks a ton!

  • A's in G with D ... I love this guy man

  • hEy_ãNYOné_wÃÑñÄ_chàt_wIth_më_í_fëÉl_sÔ_lòÑêlý_tødÀY╝

  • Nice lesson man....The two guitar players are Stone Gossard and Mike McCready, but Eddie plays the main guitar riff in this song. He wrote the song when he was in his previous band Bad Radio

  • Dude you rock! I love this song, and have always played it wrong! Thank you for the top tips! Keep cool

  • akes it look way easier than it really is lol

  • thank you meeeeen!! i was looking for this amazing song!!!

  • thanks , from buffalo ny usa.

  • awsome lesson my friend

  • haven't you watch them live?

    what is youtube for?

  • "I don't know the guitar player in Pearl Jam's name...I only know Eddie Vedder."

That's ok, it's Eddie playing guitar on this song.

  • Hey!

    Great lesson

What amplifier setting were you using?

  • really great lesson, thanks so much.

    muy buena leccion, muchas gracias.

  • Thank you for this great lesson!!!!

  • wow!!! you're a great teacher thanks a lot

  • nice vid but geees cut those finger nails !

  • that's a great lesson man. And I love you Telecaster. That's the '52 issue?

  • Thanks a lot for this, Justin. At last I'm getting over a guitarless period - now it's time to shake the apathy away and keep on working!

  • one of my best teacher here in youtube! tnx man!

  • Thanks. This is a seemingly simple song that my band has been struggling with. The Sus4 bits and strumming advice made all the difference to figuring it out.

  • seriously~! i was skeptical, but you are a good teacher. playing slow and singing the chords.

    keep it up

  • I dont think many of us can find a good dsus4 these days.

  • 24 people got so amazed by Justin's teaching technique they passed out and their heads accidentally hit the dis button!

  • again justin....extremely nice!

    thank you

  • really good lesson but CUT YOUR THUMB NAIL!!

  • @Kelseysk8s That thumbnail is part of the reason he sounds so good, a plectrum on the finger. If you notice, his right hand has longer nails expressly to strike the strings in a clear fashion. I wish I could keep my fingernails as long as his, but my nails are too weak, they break after playing for 15 minutes.

  • @baadshepherd He has fake (acrylic) nails :)

  • what's strings do you pluck, im not sure, during the finger picking part

  • @grascons listen to it its quite easy

  • @grascons listen to it, its quite easy, if you can't listen and do it then practice music that is much more simpler

  • Mostly 2nd 3rd string, when on the second chord 1st,2nd and 3rd

  • dudue you talk too much

  • Justin, Thanks so much for making it easy. I needed to learn this tonight quick to play it with a friend tomorrow. Perfect!

  • Good tune.. thanks for the lesson..

" the guitar part i want is the one that goes higher. if any of this makes sence to anyone and they know the tabs please help!

  • thank you for a lovely morning lesson:)

I'll search for your help again!

  • great! on the same guitar too

  • Good Teacher,,,you played & Taught it correct & Good Vocals,,,not as bad as ya think,,,Cheers Bro.

keep up with the good work :)

  • *teached me (lol)

  • "She's in G with D..." :)

Man, YOU DESERVE REAL RESPECT! You teached so much since I had my first guitar :)

  • fucking tight!! he explained it all perfectly

  • I don't think there is a point in saying he's not the greatest singer in the world or that he's simplyfing some chords...He wanted to help beginners learn this song and I think he did it perfectly!

  • @8leggedhamster The point of covering a song is not to play it exactly the way it is on the record. It is to play it the way you interpret it.

  • What's with you people saying this is bad singing? I know how bad singing sounds, and his definitely ISN'T.

  • - Thanx Man ! ;D

  • Great lesson and well sung too!!.....

  • It's Mike McCready on lead guitar and Stone Gossard on Rhythm guitar. Every time I have seen them live, Eddie plays the intro.

    Great lesson.

  • Fantastic video. Helped me out much. If anything, Eddie would appreciate the effort at the vocals. They weren't bad at all.

Yea... Eddie sticks the pick in his pickup. Kinda wedges it in there.

    Thanks again. Fantastic.

  • actually when vedder plays this one live, he picks at the beginning using only fingers. but hes sticks a pick in the guitar, that he grabs just before the transition

  • Thank you, I've just started learning guitar and was able to pick this up very quickly :)

  • its mike mccready

  • Great vid , But please dont sing XD

  • Great video lesson. Don't think you need to apologize to Eddie Vedder for your vocals, either. :)

  • i just saw them..greatest concert ever..incrediableeeee

  • thanks alot man! one of the best lessons i ever seen! 5 stars!

  • Wow thank you so much Justin,
