  • @Greenmarine6 Of course the cobalt Turbo kills the cobalt blower. Turbo is less harmful to the environment. Do you think GM would have switched to Turbo if the blower passed emissions? They would have used a lot better blower, but it doesn't pass emissions. Look at the psi difference.

  • Superchargers are very inefficient.

    Turbos make a better noise and they create more power.

    And they dont run off of the engines power.

    Thats why they turbo them now.

  • @jowek70 The SS Supercharged had to be discontinued because its blown four didnt comply with emissions regulations for 2008. (The naturally aspirated imposter SS was discontinued after 2007, too; Chevy now calls that model the Cobalt Sport.) As a result, the new SS gets force-fed via an air-to-air intercooled turbocharger rather than the Eaton supercharger of the old car.

  • There's a ton of different options besides the intake and exhaust. Pulley upgrade, dyno tune, suspension, internals, cams, etc. Lots of power potential with the 2.0L. I think theres actually a guy that was figureing out a way to stick a whipple on it. I hate how people bash these cars for the smallest of reasons, its a kick ass car for the money.

  • I just bought a cobalt ss/sc, so I am new to the car. What does the stage 2, and 3 include?

  • injectors ... smaller belt .... pulley .... n the reflash tune...or what ever is call ....i think thats about it ......it cost between 500-700 need to get the dealer install ....for you wont void the warranty....it gives you 245hp from stock .....if you dont care...lot of guys go with the stage 2 n a 2.8 pulley ..n custom tune...and other shit ...but thats up to you

  • This goes for any car, If approx. 1-5 horsepower is worth $400-600 then put a CAI on. Putting a cone filter on under the hood means you are taking hot air from the engine comp. The stock airbox is designed with a "venturi" effect that speeds airflow and likely takes cold air in. Don't beleive me? hundreds to thousands of Automotive engineers built your car, believe them :)

  • no problem man, i'm a honda guy to the death, but at least you are modifying your cobalt tastefully. people in my area think they are god or something because they have cobalt ss's. until i beat them anyway. but for real, your car is pretty decent. you're headed in the right direction. keep up the good work, and you definately have some good skills in video editing.

  • i've never been a fan of cobalts, they just look too bulky for my liking. your seems pretty decent. supercharger sounds good, but otherwise, its just another cobalt. i'm not trying to rain on your parade, the video was great honestly. the editing and camera angles were very well done. but i've beaten many SS cobalts with my NA Integra LS. the car gets a "B-" but the video and editing get an "A+"
