  • The presenter has some fucking annoying voice!

  • i wish i had her memory abilities right now so i could remember everything for a huge test i have tomorrow pshh

  • It's got to be hard to forgive and forget, because, unlike most people, she can't put unpleasant stuff behind her.

  • She should take an exercise class. That way she wouldnt have an excuse for being a cow because she would remember how to do it.

  • She stole Clive Wearing's memory...

  • I get the feeling that this is fake... I have no clue, please don't send me a billion comments saying "NO ITS NOT I READ HER BOOK" But no one remembers what they were doing on october 25th at 3:46 and 32 seconds

  • Lots of ignorant comments on here. I read her book and she's an amazing individual. She does not "memorize" things. She remembers all the events and days of her life, not because she chooses to, but because her memory functions differently. She can't forget even if she tried. Also, very dumb comments made about her weight. I'm sure all of you are 6" 120 lb models. I think she's a beauiful woman and her looks are irrelevant to her abilities anyway. Grow up people

  • do you think she remembers when her mom first started drinking?

  • man...sometimes i cant even remember what i did for half of my day...

  • Elephants never forget

  • to much energy looping in her head.

  • she doesn't have to study for tests!

  • @neonaction there is also Kim Peek who also never forgets...or almost never...

  • the interviewer is sexy

  • If she get extremely drunk, does she remember everything she did and said the next day whilst nursing a hangover?

  • ...and imagine she is your wife

  • I think the interviewer hinted at an interesting hypothesis. Scientists now know that humans only perceive time as linear and moving forward because our brains evolved that way to cope with the universe. Perhaps this woman has a defect in her brain where her perception of time is not completely linear. She is simultaneously experiencing the past and the present. If she thought hard enough she might even be able to remember the future.

  • Yes, but can she count cards?

  • So if she read a book 20 years ago, could she remember the whole text to this day?

  • I don't think so. She says: ''My memory is autobiographical. So I could tell you my life, but to memorize a poem or a monologue was very excruciating for me." But I guess it depends on whether she was interested in the book?

  • @1983Jacko Kim Peek can...aka the Rain Man bitches!

  • Wow, she must remember everything she has eaten...which is obviously amazing in itself. It must be a lot to remember.

  • haha put her in the room with the guy with the 30 second memory. that would be funnnnny :P

  • She should read Bergson

  • publicenemy1010 MF

  • She's very pretty :)

  • interresting, she seems pretty normal

i've seen once on televion another person(a man) who can remember every part of his life

however this guy was going crazy because of this "ability/disesase" maybe he got a similar yet different "ability" than her?

(or either he or she is faking lol)

  • go and win at "who want to be a bilionaire" :)))

  • you'd think she'd remember not to eat so much

  • hahahaha

  • My goodness, what if she watched 2 girls 1 cup, she will remember it with DETAILS for the rest of her life.

  • She doesn't cure these diseases herself because she doesn't have the knowledge of how to. What could cure things would be scientific research of the way that she remembers things so autobiographically.

  • It's called Autobiographical Superior Memory and it has nothing to do with school. If you listen to what this woman has said - she explained that she does not memorize, has trouble memorizing and that is why school was difficult for her.

  • Intresting point. Surely it is a failure of the education system and of piquing her interest.

Many memory professionals use techniques which link what they know (e.g objects in their house, landmarks along a familiar journey) with items and their order in lists they want to remember. Since this lady has such a precise personal frame of reference, all she has to do is link new information to it after convincing herself it is intresting to her. She just needs a rearrangement of new knowledge.

  • i can't imagine being able to do that, but it would come in handy

  • that is a logical fallacy.

  • What???

  • The interviewer makes a loud smacking noise almost every time she begins speaking. WHY DO PEOPLE DO THAT? Plus that woman can remember each smacking sound clear as day RIGHT NOW.

  • I wish I would have a memory as good as hers. How great!!

  • But imagine remembering all the awful things in such details. :\

  • Anyway, I wouldn't need to buy a DVR and associated storage(HDD).

  • this reminds me of my uncle who is very smart but the sad thing is, he never uses it to be a productive man. i wish i have my uncle's brain instead

  • ellespeth : just because your uncle has the instruments, doesn't mean he has access to it.

oddly enough, even though Jill Price remembers her life with even to the smallest details, she can't remember her homework.

  • that is so cool

  • i'd like to meet her

  • Poeppi81: There is no meter in your head that says:

XXXX Memory In Use/ XXXX Remaining

  • she's amazing, i wish i had that kind of memory.

If one seeks to improve his memory then let him work it out. our brain, our memory, is like a muscle, if one trains it regularly it will become stronger just as the bodybuilder who trains his muscles daily to become bulky. I know several people that train their memory when they study, they memorize books after reading it only once. It's a skill one needs to work hard on in order to achieve a strong memory.

  • yeah, but on the other hand, i can see why it would be horrible never to able to forget bad memories. Eventhough my memory is appalling, every now and then I have flashes of terrible past experiences, and i can feel the emotion as if it was happening now. Sometimes I hate my mum for smoething that happened 15 years ago. Going through that every moment of your life must be emotionally very traumatic

  • if i could remember every day of my life - omg - my brain would detonate. how can it be that all her memories are been stored in her biological hard-disc?? this is very amazing!!

  • Read her book anbd you will see she does not memorize

  • She has a scientific paper behind her which explains why she can not forget

  • Just trying to show you a different opinion...sorry

  • This video does not do her justice!

  • You're Crazy!!

  • That sucks if you can't remember things for school but only your life.

  • You really need to read her book...what a facinating story. I have a lot of respect for this remarkable woman!

  • damn i wish i was like her lol that way i wouldnt forget all the vocab words for my SAT lol

  • ahh! whered i put my shoes?!

  • if i saw you i would make fun of your body skinny boy..hit the gym before you rag on other people...

  • lollll

  • Yeah, and she doesn't look bad either.

  • she's like the opposite of Clive Wearing.

  • When I think about it!I personally want not remember every moment of my life!!Cause you remember worse memorys too!!

  • She remember every moment of her live!!But not only the good times!!The bad times too every choice she made every fight or speech!!She never forget a detail that is not always good!!It´s both she say!

This is incredible i often forget what I ate two days ago!!:)

  • why not ask something about math or literature?

  • because she only remembers everything about her life! she says that! its autobiographical! Shes not like the rainman!

  • and i thought i had a strong memory!!!

  • some have only RAM, some have only Harddrive and the lucky ones have both.

  • I heard some scientists have tested a memory-wipe drug on mice.

  • Seeing as reading a poem that you need to learn for school is an experience, and her memory is autobiographical, shouldn't she remember the experience of reading the poem and therefore the content of the poem? Or does that make no sense?

  • it makes sense =]

  • mxmsoccer - good i was worried i was being dumb! :D

  • it makes sense - I also thought how I could profit from that burden/gift

  • tislauf - yes i wish i had had that gift during my final exams! though i doubt it's a gift in daily life. it must be frustrating to not be able to filter out useless information.

  • It can't be evolutionarily useful or we'd all be able to remember every moment of our lives.

  • true saxquiz, i suppose not. i wouldn't like to remember every detail of mine!

  • it would've been easier if she read it out loud to her parents or so. that is a more of an experience to start with.

  • @huka0104:

    oops, I meant "psychopathology".

  • I just wrote a paper on this syndrome for school.

  • @huka0104:

I would love to read your paper. I'm thinking about working on the syndrome myself (for a course in psychopsychology)!

  • she'd be pretty reliable in a court case.

  • it doesn't make sense to me that "they had it wrong" in the book....

  • But it was...

  • I cant really remember what i had for lunch today...

  • GOD BLESS HER..

  • the mind is an amazing thing to learn about!!!

  • wow

  • dam,i forgot to turn off the stove!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow!!!!!!! Incredible!!!

  • a nasty experience-even minor one will keep creeping back up on the memory masters

  • Holy shit thi

  • Wow!
