I don't care what anyone says. The Kinks are/were an incredible band. This is a FANTASTIC cover. It shows a reverence for the original material that is RARE in this current landscape.  Great stuff.

My only complaint is that they stayed TOO true to the original. They didn't cover it, they replicated it. Even down to the drum fills.

The original is great, sure - and this is solid enough...but cmon, I'd like to hear at least some attempt at a more creative reinterpretation (admittedly those can often be horribly bad ideas).

Excellent cover. I loved the original when it came out , but this is a great take. I like the sense of latent power that amps up the sexual tension. The Kinks version does have more sway to it, but that's okay--I'll listen to both bands and enjoy them for their unique qualities =)

Maybe they like oldies music such as The Kinks ^_^ I think Green Day is the type of band where I think theyd be able to pull off covers of old songs.
