Oh man, you are 100000% correct on that crap EA Nascar. It is sooo bad, and yet people flock to it. There is no comparison between that garbage and either of the Daytonas. It really is a shame, and I just shake my head when I see people playing that horrible game.
I love your arcade walkthroughs. Keep it up, and be sure to come check out 1984 in Springfield, Missouri one of these days. Its an awesome arcade and it would be cool to see it get some more exposure.
Nick. I must say that I really admire what you're doing. I keep following on youtube and I just love your reports and walkthroughs of various arcades. Keep up this really super work that you're doing. I agree with you on the Moto Raid instead of Manx TT, and yes Tsumo Motion sucks, doesn't belong in an arcade. About Daytona though, nah. Come on. Daytona 2 is much better. I recently converted a Daytona to a ECA.
One person does something stupid and ruins it for everyone else, that doesn't make much sense. It was just 1 incident, no reason to not have new fighting games because of 1 idiot. Sucks for all the responsible people.
@saturdaymorningfan After the kid punched the machine FunSpot stopped getting in new fighting games. All of the games they have there were from before the whole indecent happened. So Primal Rage, MK,MK2,UMK3 and the two Street Fighter games stayed. They have either moved them into storage or have sold them so the only fighting games they still have are the three MK games on the first floor. (Not 1st, dyslexia is fun)
I played GlobalVR EA Nascar Arcade at a local truck stop, so disappointed, very average gameplay . The Sega/EA Nascar 2000 game released some time ago was better than the GlobalVR one. And if only Sega would re-release Daytona USA Online for XBLA and throw in all the tracks from Arcade 1+2, CCE, and DC...imagine 8, 16 or even more players online.
@X3CuT1oNR Sega tried to bring back Daytona to the arcades a few years ago with "Sega Racing Classic" it was an emulated version of Daytona USA minus the NASCAR license. Since it was emulated the game came out terrible. Most places try their best to keep their Daytona's running with a new LCD screen mod that looks terrible, but as long as they keep Daytona in arcades, I'm happy.
@X3CuT1oNR ! i see somebody was listening in on your idea hey!,, daytona on xbox live!! enjoy,,,cos i know aim,,,wooooooooohoooooooo,, daaaaaaytooooonaaaaaahhhhh!!!

Didn't you say they removed all the fighters? Isn't mortal kombat a fighter? Why did it stay but street fighter got removed?
