The Durango lost control and hit a tree at a high speed. The man in the back seat didn't live most likely because he didn't have his seatbelt on. The woman in the passenger seat was seriously injured (looks like passenger side had more impact) and of course the drunk driver walks away without a scratch! This is common. Alcohol relaxes the body's muscles resulting in better absorbancy of impact.

@kevykev38. That is because the driver, when drunk is so relaxed & limber there isn't any major damage done. Unfortunately when a person tenses up is when all the bones start breaking causing all kinds of other injuries. A tensed up back will break 5 times easier than a limber relaxed one. So if possible when you see a major 1050 heading your way & you know you can not avoid it... just let go of the wheel and relax
