I have listened to this song by almost everyone out there, including the big names. This version is by far superior to any other. It is hauntingly beautiful and the whole group is fantastic, but the lead singer has a raw beauty to her voice that is remarkable.
i've been all over youtube because i'm arranging this song for my acapella group... without a doubt this is the best version out there. the soloist is spot on. i'm an opera singer (its what i go to school for) and i do feel that sometimes my training causes me to overthink pop singing, but that is absolutely not the case here. your group supports you beautifully and you have a fantastic sound for this style of music. i definitely look forward to hearing more of your stuff! keep it up =]
I like the soloist, but there are some tuning issues in the background, as well as what sounds like some mistranscribed chords. The background also sounds like a lot of block chords, and it might be good to add some rhythmic variation here.
it might just be because 'bleeding love' is a difficult song, but you guys really need to think about having a new soloist. she's not bad, but she's not great. in breakaway she was better, but she's off the tune here.
so you don't know me, or have ever heard me, and you're assuming i can't sing? did you know that i actually sing for my county, because, unlike this girl, i can sing in tune. and also, i have been brought up listening to all sorts of music and have always been in a very 'musicy' environment, and so i basically know what is good and what isn't. and this isn't. I'm going to go on your page and listen to your amazing vocal skills right now!
I'm the soloist and I agree there are a few minor pitch problems-we sometimes have days like that. You have every right to critique our group, but in my defense it seems unfair of you to generalize that I can't sing in tune just because of one performance, just as it would be for someone else to say you aren't a good singer without knowing you. I've been in my university choir, chamber singers and I've had classical training. I wouldn't have been able to do those things if I couldn't sing in tune.
ok, sorry, but you weren't really good on this song. it is an INCREDIBLY difficult song tho, so dw. u sounded pretty good in 'breakaway'! the problem with classical training is that it makes you almost struggle when you have to sing pop. songs.
this is the same person as 'kdgrrl'! the names are basically the same. and thank u for ur comment on 'no one' that i did. i can sing technically well wen i am able to stand and support myself, but i was sitting down in one of those swivelly chairs, which makes it so much harder to sing. and i have been taught the vowel sounds wen i have been in my county choris and things, but u gotta change those kinda things wen u sing pop music. but thanks for the advice ;)
oh, so backing up one of ur mates and the person who is supposedly the best in ur choir? well, i certainly can't win. but that is not fair. I have huge respect for classically trained singers, but i just think that sometimes the sound of a classical singer doesn't completely work in a pop song, as it makes it sound rather bland lol.
i respect you ten times more than any other collegiate acapella singer that you can take criticism well and have a discussion rather than just think you're some diva because you're in a collegiate acapella group
I see my aunt lol

I disagree.
a. Katie doesn't sound "pretty good in breakaway" she sounds GREAT!
b. Classical training is the best, it is the only training that can be used on everything
c. Leona sounds whiney, I hate her voice

No this is another Lizard, if you want to critique me too I sing Somebody to Love. But you might not like it because I am classically trained too
