  • Rookie!

  • Where are the tips and tricks??????

  • バズベイト楽しそう^^

  • no tips just you fishing

  • loves me some buzzbait action...its that time again

  • Can you do a video on how to Hobo Fish, using a can and line? I've always wanted to know how you do that, and if it actually works...

  • @100trueneutral When I was little and at lakes I use to do just that. I'd find a stick, old line and a hook and use flies i'd catch for bait. I did manage to catch some bluegill and small bass that way but no videos of it.

  • @100trueneutral works better with a bottle. you just tie a line to the bottle. bait your hook, toss it in the water and wait. so far, i only caught bluegill with it.. trying again tmroo

  • no tips or tricks by central coast bass, adjust the title next time...

  • @Rondal62 Sorry...this video was shot before my tips & tricks videos, I just renamed it. To see my real tips & tricks videos ( not just in the title ) check out my channel.

  • @kawabunga66 no thanks ,,,, if you messed up this vid like that ,, i do not want to take any tips from you ,,,,,, a tip from me ,,,, tell the truth next time ,,,, us fishermen do not want to waste time on your lies ,,, we can fish ,,, we watch out of entertainment ,,, you did not entertain

  • @heettreet How did I mess up, it shows me catching fish on the buzz. The tip for how I do it is in the description of the video. Sorry if people do not read any more, maybe thats why Borders is now closing shop. If you choose to not watch my videos so be it, I have many others that learn form me.

  • @kawabunga66 Hey moron, this is A VIDEO WEBSITE. We don't come here to read. We come here to watch videos, and we hope that those videos will do what the title suggests. If you want to write tips for us then start a blog or write a book and maybe Borders will start selling it.

  • @kawabunga66 this explanation does not make sense ,,,, straighten out if you want any thumbs up

  • Damn, I don't know how you guys fish with buzz baits. I hate it cause i never caught a fish with it whether I'm reeling it fast where it gets on top of the water or if i make barely come out of the water. I don't know how it works but maybe i'll try slowing down a bit to give it a shot.

  • @SifuZeemore Color might be the difference, maybe its just me but I love dark colors when fishing the buzzbait. I only fish it at certain times and when I do it seems dark colors work best. Just a thought.

  • @kawabunga66 just use a small black one and reel it slow. always works for me. if that dont work cast and reel it as fast as you can in one certain area and just do that over and over and you can make the fish mad and sometimes theyll hit it like that

  • @SifuZeemore yes color sometimes does have a huge effect, like in my pond i used a white crank bait for about a year (untill my brother lost it -.-) well that thing got ATE UP! if i was useing that i always knew i ould atleast catch 1 fish, same with buzz baits. ive almost only have luck with white and black

  • @SifuZeemore while fishing top water you want to use a dark color such as black, because it creates siloette, and shadow with is what a distressed bait fish looks like while swimming by the surface

and make shure ur using the buzzbait the right time of year

  • Didn't see a whole lot of tips and tricks.

  • thats just crazy. What Buzzbait are you using and how are you getting so many?! I have used a booyah pond magic buzzbait for hours and not caught 1 fish

  • @sofleye23 Theres a time and place for great buzz action. This was in late june, the fish just coming off post spawn. Great time for a buzzbait.

  • thats just crazy. What Buzzbait are you using and how are you getting so many?! I have used a booyah pond magic buzzbait for hours and not caught 1 fish

  • @MrMonsterrules Is Strike King any good? I know its the cheapest around here.

  • Buzz bait is the best morning bait you can ever use period ... that or a Ribbit frog .. as 9 10 oclock rolls around switch to a spinnerbait cuz fish will most likely begin to go a little deeper .. then when about 12 to 1 hits you gotta either carolina rig or crankbait deep to get those lazzzzy hot bass

  • where was this? thats pretty awesome

  • Ok well i am getting into the topwater bass fishing stuff now. What color buzzbaits would you use for different weather conditions? and what seasons or times of the day are the best for buzzbaits?

  • hey man i let my buzzbait sink at least 5 feets befor i start retreiving and i always catch small bass, when i use it on top i caught a ugly gar, what should i do

  • @357magnum98 Try using the same colored spinner bait instead of a buzz bait. Its obvious bass want a bait below the surface. Giving them a similar lure below the surface might get better results. -Scott

  • @357magnum98 you want to reel it back to were it is just on top of the water dont let it sink

  • Your tearing them up with that...But not really tips or tricks on how to do it, just showing off that you can catch fish on a buzzbait.

  • Buzz baits suck dick

  • Sucking dick is like how bass take in a buzz bait, slurping a bait they love, thanks for understanding how a buzz bait is a bass magnet.

  • @kawabunga66 ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhahahahahah

  • @kawabunga66 funniest shit ive ever seen on a fishing vid comment.

  • nice catch

  • Hey bro -- how come my buzzbait always tracks to my left when I'm retrieving it? I can never get it to track straight to me , I have to hold my rod 45 degrees to my right and that makes it hard to get a good hook set when a fish hits.

  • Bend the wire of the baiit, if its tracking to the left bend to the right, if its tracking to the right bend to the left. Baits are never right on, no matter what the manufacturer says, some adjustment is always a good choice.

  • @kawabunga66 OK thanks. I tried that initially, maybe I didn't bend it far enough.

  • i never really had any luck usin buzzbait... but on the bill dance topwater walk the dog work foe me really good

  • ADD ME PLZ I WILL HAVE VIDZ IN A WEEK

  • not impressed, if i wanted to warch a video with some hic catchin bass on a buzzbait i woul of typed in " Hic catchin buzzbait bass, not " the secret to buzzbait fishing" lame, u need to change your title

  • i caught a 4 pound bass from a buzzbait i bought at walmrt for 1 dollar, lol

  • Comment removed

  • last time i checked people watch youtube to watch videos, not fucking read!!!!

  • Cool video. That buzzbait bait looks like it would be around 5.00 u could by a walmart buzzbait for 1.00 and make 2 minutes of modification

  • You actually want to keep your rod tip higher if you want to work it as slow as possible.

  • one thing i learned from pro bass fisherman kevin vandam in a seminar for buzzbaits, he said most ppl make this mistake. when u see the fish hit it on top of the water. dont set the hook until u feel the weight of the fish on your rod. because they come up and miss the buzz bait a lot and they will hang onto it after they grab it so wait til u feel that weight of the bass to set the hook. good vid

  • do you have to keep you tip pointed up or do you just need to reel fast?

  • Keep your tip low, reel slow, when a bass hits set the hook. Its pretty simple, reel in at a speed that gives a blurping sound from the bait, not a whizzing sound.

  • They are a great lure. I get nice Bass and Pike on them too. So what's your secret ??? you didn't explain anything !!!

  • The explaination comes from reading the intro to this video, the side comments. If you watch the actual video this condenced version came from it is all there for the taking. My mistake was I thought people might be smart enough to read before they watched a video, guess thats a far reach for youtube viewers.

  • nobody on the internet reads anything, we want it zapped directly into our brains before we even know it exists. Duh. lol

  • @kawabunga66 youtubers arent the dumb ones obviously you are if you think fishing a buzz slow is a big secret anyone who has ever fished a buzz bait knows to fish them slow

  • thats the secret dawg thats what so great about buzz baits.

  • ooo you got burned man..

    But nice video btw.

  • So when do we learn the secret?

  • haha

  • the secret to buzzbait fishing is just the regular....like casting out and reeling in...just the usual like any other lures...no difference...

  • anyone know any good spots in oklahoma

  • haha that one at 58 secs. meant buisness

  • Ive just began to fish for the first time. I go to Burke lake in VA, and haven't caught a thing. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. But, strangely, it hasn't stopped me from trying, over, and over. Im hoping soon!

  • nothing feels better than catching a good fish after numerous number of skunks!!

  • im on the same boat.....

  • I'm finally catching em!!! The biggest stinking thrill man! I still can't use a buzzbait, but the fake worms on a texas rig is working really well for me. I caught four nice bass at Shenendoah this past week. Keep trying man, you'll get it!

  • congradulations! i will keep trying....

  • dude use rapala crankbaits shad rap x raps(suspending) and dt do what ever depth your fishing and the clackin raps, clackin raps are expensive but worth it another good lure company for crankbaits are mann's and bomber

  • burke lake sucks, its so over fished. try the other lakes around that area

  • I quit that spot man, it really does suck. I've been going to Lake Brittle and some other spots around here, and I catch em everyday. I love it!

  • yeah it just takes time i started fishing recently to and i liver near a crappy pond and eventually i started catching bass. have you caught anything yet?

  • Oh yeah, a bunch. I try a bunch of local lakes and stuff, a few rivers, and I catch em every time I go out. I use the Yamamoto worms, the six inch ones, and texas rig em, it works. watch some vids on how thats all done.

  • i want to fish that lake so bad. Here where i live in california the bass are so timid and scared. I went to florida and the fishing was almost too easy there.

  • So whats the secret?

  • really cool film, and great fishing

  • @ 56 sec it look like u set the hook b4 the fish even got to it ahhahah thats kool...damn thats a nice lake its very calm

  • foreals it look like lopez lake in san luis lol but that look like a very nice lake

  • What lake was this?

  • I have a buzzbait, its my favourite thing in my tackle box. I always fish it right slow on the retrieve, but i mostly troll with it.

only $4 in canda at wal-mart

  • only 1 in us

  • reeling it a little slower catches more fish

  • but what is the trick

  • looks like lopez lake

  • Where were you fishing

  • where do you tie the buzzbait clacker?

  • they are very successfull usually catch a bass first cast

  • do double-bladed buzzbaits work better that single-bladed ones?

  • Awsome! looked like you had alot of fun

    I love using buzzbait also.

  • Great job man!

    Tight lines to ya.

  • what?

  • o sorry man this was a reply for rutiloco just telling the guy why spain and mexico doesnt have alot of fish on their waters.

  • What the heck kind of boat is that?

  • An uncle josh no. 11 pork chunk helps to slow it down even more. I have a buddy in KY that makes Buzz Baits. I been catching fish on them for years. he recently started a website to sell them. Check him out at MidnightBuzzbaitsDOTcom

  • It's called a trolling motor!

  • wow dude wow......

  • Was this early morning or late evening?

  • early morning.

  • great video

  • i have never caught a fish

  • my little 4 year old sister has caught 7

  • when you got the bass you were reeling it in so fast you weren't even fighting it you should loosen your drag and have fun with it

  • whats youre ratio?????????

    (casts for every fish)

  • heres a tip: if you bend the blades so they are more curved the bait comes up quicker and you can fish it at about half the speed to keep it up

  • good job

  • do buzz baits work in the winter?

  • If the weather is warm and sunny for a few days yes. I've caught fish on a spook in January.

  • How do you no when you have a hit

    do they go under water???

  • Bass are not nibblers. You'll know! ;-)

  • lol thanks Im just not much of a topwater fisherman

  • what was that white thing flopping on land at 1:27- 1:33

  • it was a bird.

  • none of those fish were over 3 pounds!

  • So what?

  • well he said one was 5 lbs, nice fish but not 5 lbs...

  • Yeah I watched the vid again and heard him say that. People are always too quick to add on a few lbs.

  • which season did u catch those bass with buzzbait? Fall?

  • No, this is early summer, as I remember it's the end of June. Post spawn is a great time for Buzz bait fish, they just seem to hate anything that makes a lot of noise after they spawn.

  • what kind of bass were those

  • Largemouth bass and to catch them use buzzbaits, the shacky head method and banjo minnows

  • when is da best time to fish a buzz bait when ur on da bank

  • buzzbaits are best to use early in the morning, late in the afternoon, or wind its windy with ripples on the water. black buzzbaits work good for me.

  • whats the name of the buzz bait that ur useing and where do u get it because all the buzzbaits i use stink

  • These videos are rather old so fact is I don't remember the baits name. If you watch my full videos from my fishing show I do mention the company that made these baits. These videos are posted on my channel in three segments, so look for buzzing Lopez. I think part two has my info section in it.

  • use booyah buzzbaits booyah is the best u can get when it comes to buzz and spinnerbaits

  • i like the strike king junior buzz's, they are a three bladed buzz and im always getting strikes on em, today i caught a 5lb bass on a cabelas buzz bait i got a few years ago

  • strike king is a good brand too with spinners i usually go with small ones

  • I'm a huge buzzbait user. Here's a tip for you: When a bass strikes it, let them take it for about 2 seconds. I always pop the lure out of their mouth on a premature hookset.

  • Time is not a factor when setting the hook, its feel. The second a fish hits it if and when you feel them set the hook. If you don't feel them seconds after a bite set the hook anyway, they might be swimming at you. Fishing is not science, the angle of the hook, the angle of the fishes approach all lead to hit and misses. At least if you feel them you know they have some part of the bait in there mouth, wheather you hook them its an odds game.

  • That's also true.

  • Kawabunga, nice job. Its hard to "beat a buzz" when they are on that pattern! Wherever you were fishing was just wonderful! Keep your Spooks handy too; great lure. Thanks for the great vid. Winkiedoodles

  • great video, i was looking in the fishing section at walmart and saw that buzzbait and thought to myself i really like that but i dont know if id catch anything..hard to believe they are $1.00 i think ill go buy it and add the bead to it. thanks alot

  • lol when u hooked the one at 1:20 i was watchin the bank and the white bird took flight and i thought that was the big fish, then u pulled up a lunker!, sweeet keep slayin

    KY

  • Seems like everything works better when you slow down. I've never had much luck with that "power fishing" stuff!

  • Not true, depends on the lure, true buzzing is slow for best results. I got 1st thru 3rd in 11 of 15 tournaments in my history fishing fast. 15 seconds a cast useing shallow water cranks, works march thru november. No one believed me when I told them my technique but results don't lie. Watch my rattlin lopez video and count how long it takes for a retieve. Then apply that to shallow water cranks 4 to 6 feet, Bandits are best, you must tune them to get them to run staight at that speed.

  • it really doesnt tell you a secret???!!!

  • You must read my comments about the video to get the secret.

  • 1 am a starter at bass fishin and could you give me some tips for buzzbait

  • If you check my channel I have this whole 30 minute video posted. It will show you the ins and outs of buzz fishing.

  • When is the best time to use a buzzbait. is it in the mornings

  • Hey man it look like u been out there for a few days n just compiles da clips together u a same outfit wearing everyday fraud

  • All my videos were done in two days, a few hours in the morning each day. I found I needed at least 15 to 20 fish per video to keep the action flowing and have choices for editing.

  • What tips u have on catching salmon?

  • Lol and that cracks me up when you say thats a good buzzbait fish right there haha... I give you props for going out and doin it, but you need to come down to Arkansas if you think those are nice... You'll fall over dead when you get into some of are pigs... BIG

  • My statement as nice refered to fishing a tournement. Any fish four pounds or above is a bonus when put it into that context, at least in california. Our lakes are pounded 365 days a year, tournements, skiers, recreation, in this lake you need 20 LBS on any given contest to win. Five four pounders would be a delight, usually its a good six or seven pounder and solid 3 to 4lb. fish that win. I would love it if our western lakes, with all the pressure, produced larger fish.

  • You want the best buzzbait Get a Chatterbuzz google search it you wont be disappointed

  • Surprised me to see them hammering buzz's and no wind whatsoever. You might go back the next day and they'd prefer a spook or a PoP-R. I guess by now you've figured out that you simply have to try fast, slow or something in-between.

  • whats the temperture

  • good spelling crusty adams

  • You can also try triple bladed buzzbaits, they can be retrieved a lot slower than double bladed buzzbaits.

  • Whats the best color to use during the day in the fall? And also what type of rod&reel is this guy using and line??

  • They say dark colors in the low light and light colors in the bright day light.I'm using a medium heavy rod and 17LB. line, and the real is 5.2 to 1 ratio. A 4.3 ratio might be better, then you could real a little faster while still keeping the bait moving slow, at least thats easier for me to do.

  • Actually wieghed that fish, I was a little heavy, it was 4.3 Lbs.

  • no way that "good 4 and a half, 5 pounds" came close to that

    3 and a half maybe

  • noejoe your right and also sometimes the fish will hook themselves

  • the real secret is too throw as far away from the boat as possible and keep it just fast enough so that it doesnt sink. When most people get a bite on one a buzzbait, they tend to get excited and pull it right out of their mouth. When you get a bite, let it take it under and wait until you can feel the weight of the fish before setting the hook.

  • caught 35 bass last weekend within 3 hours! 21 on mepps aglia spinner bait and the rest on a strike king buzz bait. had a 10 pounder on 4 times! the secret is start out with ur rod at 70 degrees and lower rod as you reel in. reel just fast enough to keep it on top of the water.

  • lmfaoooo bfs a 10lbr on 4 times ROFLMFAO

  • u dont believe me? i caught a 13 pounder in georgia and was in the second page of the courier journal here in louisville ky, 16th largest city in the us. the pic was also in bassmaster may 07 edition. it was also in pond boss magazine cant remember which one though, if you give me your email ill send it too ya. oh by the way im 14

  • way to fuckin go man!

  • After a slow day yesterday, I pulled out a buzzbait, and I ended up catching a 12 pound bass. Biggest thing I've ever seen in person!

  • Fact is this footage is taken on Lopez lake in SLO county, a highly fished lake as well as a high tournament fished lake. It gets as much pressure as any buisy lake in California, all my footage of bass fishing is on a high traffic lake. BTW....Read my intro and maybe you will catch fish on a spinner and buzz.

  • hail to you, fishing god!

  • No tips at all. I guess that pond is just good. Some private pond are real good. They hit whatever ppl cast.

and I've never catch any fish with spinner and buz.

  • Thanks for the tip. I fish them quite a bit faster than that with reasonable success. I'll fish them a little slower next time and see how it goes.

  • I love buzzbaits. They're relatively easy to use. I think the hang up some have is that they react to quickly to the strike. You got to let the fish take it under and then set the hook. I normally have the best success when I don't even watch the lure. I feel the tug and set the hook.

  • there really isn't a secret to buzzin. Just get a day where you have overcast skies or some kind of cloud cover and you can throw it all day when the bass are shallow. Its also killer early mornings and late evenings, when light penetration is at its lowest and the fish are at their nastiest! Good fishin everyone.

  • Real nice! Best fishing video I've seen so far on Youtube.

  • So wait, what exactly is the secret? Keeping it barely from touching the top?

  • the secret to fishing a buzzbait: step 1 cast it out, step 2 real it in, step 3 repeat steps 1 and 2. duh huh duh huh..

  • thanks for the tip
