  • This is "the" song that everyone else wished they'd written.

  • some albums end with a bang

but ok computer ends with a ping

  • the awesome moment when every time you listen to "slow down" you get goose bumps... no matter how many times you've listened to this song

  • *DING*

  • The only song in the universe that has ever made me cry.

    It's so beautiful.

  • This song is like driving alone on an endless, empty desert road with nothing ahead of you but mountains in the distance, like driving into the infinite and out of existence. To me, not only is this the perfect way to end the album, but it is a perfect way to link into "Kid A".

  • maybe the best ever song ever in history ever written ever

  • yogscast brought me here

  • That ding at the end <3

  • When I first heard this album in its entirety, I was just beginning to realize I was in a completely different place--an irrational yet harmonious place--then I heard that ding and snapped out and was like "fuck...what just happened".

  • Best Radiohead song ever. Actually, scratch that, best song ever.

  • so so fucking good

  • I made love to myself with this song, and it was magnificent XO

  • The lyrics, the voice, the vibe... Everything... I love you.

  • @nomamespudrido Is that Engrish or something?

  • This is the most important and most powerful song in my entire life, I cannot explain or even begin to describe how much of an impact this has had on my existence.

  • 3:50 onwards is...is...for the past many years i've been trying to describe what that bit of music does to my heart, what it makes me feel, and no words can describe it. no words can do it justice. it cannot be described. and that's why radiohead is THE greatest band ever.

  • Beautiful.

  • Remember when you where in that band when you where a kid, and you thought that the ability to play three power chords made you god? Shortly after this you discovered radiohead and realised that there was no point even attempting to write music anywhere near as sublime and deep as this... sigh.

  • beautiful song... and one of the my favorite guitar solos of all time.

  • this might just be my favorite song.

  • I remember hearing this album for the first time while being stoned I knew this was the last song of the album just by the tone and becoming sad. First time I was sad to hear an album ending.

  • Best song ever.

  • I absolutely adore 3:45 right to the end.

  • @WickedLiquid I absolutely adore 0:00 to 5:25

  • perfecto, todo el ok computer es perfecto...

  • That last "DING!" at the end of this song reminds me of Dexter Morgan nodding at the end of his theme song.

  • This album came out in my mid 30's, It was a time of transition for me, finally got a good job, I hear it again after many years. Times suck right now, but it takes me back and evokes those feelings of contentment I had back then. Thats the power of music, evoking memory's and feelings of times gone by :-)

  • So... good...

  • the guitar sound at 4:50 gives me goosebumps every time I hear it...

  • @redaleftah That's when I turn the volume from 28 to 64 in my car. Been like this for 3 years.

    Hearing loss? Fuck you!

  • this is my heroin.

  • 3 people got a speeding ticket.

  • best ending song ever

  • wish they would go back to these years. After this album i have the feeling that they are experimenting to much, but it is their path and i lost them 14-15 years ago!

  • My speakers say 'ouch' to all the clicks.

  • @agerstrandey The entire album is listed as "Alternative/Indie Rock" and I agree with that. This is their last non-experimental rock album.

  • @comedywannabes

No, this is just simply categorized under alternative rock. And that makes no sense. Their first experimental album was Kid A, which was 3 years after this. Learn more about radiohead before you come back to me.

  • @aijunk2 Dude, how about instead of illegally downloading it. You show you're a real fan and buy the album. After that you can put it on your iTunes or whatever the heck you use and look at what genre it's put under. This amazing thing happens. IT SAYS INDIE ROCK NOOB!!!!!

  • @aijunk2

Haha, Funny. I downloaded a sonic youth sonic and itunes had the genre under POP. Now, does that sound right? Indie music is the Smiths, Strokes, Stone Roses (more madchester) Elliot Smith . . . etc. That is what indie music is. Radiohead is alternative rock, experimental rock, jazz fusion, electronica, art rock . . . etc. Now, who is right here?

    HAHA NOOB.

  • @aijunk2 people still putting music into genres? I find that cute.

  • @Phunckadelik

Yeah . . . what else would it be called? Music is like a bureaucracy, where everything is convenient and organized. NAH . . . jk. That's more like mainstream music. But you got to tell it apart somehow. And for the most part, radiohead ISN'T indie at all.

  • i can't believe that there are some people who don't like ok computer. that just amazes me.

  • Sarah Jarosz did it better. Sorry. :P

  • Comment removed

  • This is the Radiohead I fell in love with. Not their new experimental rock crap. Come back Radiohead!

  • @comedywannabes I wouldn't call king of limbs experimental rock crap. It's not that 'rock' and also it's not crap

  • every time i listen to this album all i can think about is that chime at the end

  • The triangle at the end is just perfect.

  • i've always loved this song. great chorus.

  • This is the song I sing to my boss everyday, I am like dude calm the fuck down, slow down!

  • loveeee

  • Its funny how a simple lyric can make a very good song like this. I was so curious about Radiohead lyrics before but after i found out, i laughed really hard. Thom Yorke is really super duper genius guy...

  • @nadeeyaafiza not that thom yorke isn't a super duper genius, but jonny wrote this. i guess there's more than one genius in radiohead.

  • One of the best Radiohead songs ever ... gives me chills.

  • the bends was better

  • The feeling you get during the second 'slow down' in the chorus is unexplainable.

  • @whypay4dls Probably THE best, if not one of the best, moments on the entire album

  • @whypay4dls wtf? i seen this comment before

  • @whypay4dls the feeling get right after the first a chorus ahhhh!!! <3

  • @whypay4dls I was just thinking the same thing...

  • @whypay4dls Ironically enough, your explanation is rather apt.

  • this song is ok , computer

  • @shlomonew You mean freakin awesome, computer.

  • @THETropicaIsland yeh ... i love this song

  • The Bends and OK Computer, both fantastic albums

  • Radiohead is my favourite band!! and i love this song! :P :)

  • I don't like Radiohead... What do I have to do? Why do you like this boring (my reason) music?

  • @AgurkTomatGulerod its not boring :D matter of opinion... i hated the king of limbs but i've enjoyed all their other albums. its good for musicians to RESPECT music like radiohead and the pixies and other bands who have done something which is different, doesn't mean you have to like it.

  • @jordanbarker676 Well, I DO really respect Radiohead! "Electioneering" impressed me with the guitars, it was going to be very cool, but then the developing stopped...

  • @AgurkTomatGulerod You should listen to The Bends. It's a lot more straightforward than OK Computer is. Way easier to get into, and still one of the best albums of the 90s imo.

  • @MercuryClock Thank you :) It was that kind of answer I want to get

  • @AgurkTomatGulerod "Electioneering" was not developing...lol

  • @AgurkTomatGulerod I mean it's not a bad song by any means (some people would say different) but it's more characteristic of their older sound and doesn't branch out as much.

  • @AgurkTomatGulerod

Music isn't always something you just tap your foot to. It's an interactive process.

As far as what you have to do....kind of a weird question. If ya don't like it then don't listen to it. Everyone has different tastes

  • @AgurkTomatGulerod go listen to hail to the theif (the album) if you think this is boring. To really enjoy OK Computer or Kid A, or Amnesiac, you need to listen to the album as a whole, and see that the whole album is a journey unto itself. I love radiohead, but then again ive never even listened to their first two albums :D

  • @battleman7878 LISTEN TO THE BENDS. It might seem like any old 90's rock album, but the songs 'Just', 'Street Spirit' and 'The Bends' by themselves are really really good, you'll enjoy the rest

  • @AgurkTomatGulerod get a life or kill yourself................. i just kiding xD

  • This album changed my life, and I'm not just saying this.

  • @Technokkenzu me too, my friend, me too...

  • @pdxbiker2009

I like what you say at the end of your comment about your mind being like a parachute-its no good if its not open....right on, I haven't heard anyone put it like this. I know & love the musicians you speak of.....Timothy Leary...wow. He's something else truly. Anyways, Radiohead 'have it'. They get it. I think either musicians get it or they don't. Which is why I consider good music (IMO) to be timeless.

  • abseloutley horrible.

  • @JustGotHacked

    i hope you're a troll,if not FUCK YOU:)

  • @rocanlover345 lol. (;

  • @JustGotHacked

    go asleep your life

  • @Spud3110 what the fuck does that mean? learn some english babes. :)

  • this album is godly. i personally think it's the best album of the 90's. i think it's better than nirvana's nevermind.

  • @nigelchitownking Oh I'll file that 'best album of the decade' opinion under - oh wait, that drawer's full of music magazines and Radiohead fans.

  • @nigelchitownking I was just being a douche - I was saying that your 'personal' opinion is hardly unique, it's like saying 'I personally think that Radiohead are a great band', OK Computer is well known to be the best album of the 90's, and was lauded for exactly that in many music magazines. But as I said, I'm being nitpicky

  • Children. Google Timothy Leary. You in for a treat of the mind. The Death Experience. Hendirx talked about it and so did the Beatles. Along with Eric Clapton and Cream. We all did. I wont advocate drug use..... But in a controlled inviroment I believe you can expand your conciousness. There I said it. does that make me bad?. Yes. Don't do drugs!. But open your mind to new concepts. Your mind is like a parrichute. If it isn't open, it's no good to you. Explore The Moody Blues. You'll love them.

  • It's been a long time since a albumn Or "CD" has just taken me away. Joan Biaz, Niel Young, Crosby Stills Nash and Young. Maybe "Yes", "Rush" ,"Floyd", The Moody Blues".

The Byrds used to do it for me. This is like that but more soulful. Well Nothing is more soulful than Timothy Leary by the Moody Blues. But this runs close.

  • I dont know where to go with this. This whole CD moves me. There is something here that just fits.

  • A perfect end to a perfect album

  • As soon as that 'ting' sounds at the conclusion.

You know you've just heard a masterpiece.

  • gay

  • How come this song has so little views?! The Tourist is one of the best Radiohead tracks ever, thats for sure...

  • I think I'm the only person depressed enough to think this is Radiohead's best song

  • @WutDfuzz I don't know if you are still depressed dude. But I am right now. And I really think this is one of their best songs. So I completely understand you dude.

  • Comment removed

  • @freedompeace definitely better, at least that's my preference. i've seen quite a few music sites make that comparison.

  • I used to listen to this as a child... So much memories of it... :P

  • All th lyrics could be fuck over and over again and I wouldn't notice. It's that soothing. Radiohead can do rock rock and soft rock. I don't know many bands who can do that.

  • Whenever I want to dream I listen to this song. The emotions that the guitar provokes within me was unimaginable and absolutely unexplainable, it is a feeling that I can only feel with Radiohead songs. I'm really really happy to have found Radiohead. Nothing else matters to me.

  • @katenzcool so besides Radiohead nothing matters to you? Like literally nothing?

  • @Peteybey i meant nothing else matters to me when I'm listening to this song. So yeh you are partially correct.

  • q bonitos recuerdos me trae escuchar radiohead... te extraño mi vianys :..(

  • radiohead

  • OK Computer = The Dark Side of the Moon of the 90's

    Maybe better

One of the best albums ever made

  • @FreedomPeace1 Maybe better?

    DSM is better than this!

  • @TheGoier Die in a fire.

  • -Thumb up so everyone can see. It barks at no one else but me Like it's seen a ghost I guess it seen the sparks a-flowing No one else would know

Hey man slow down, slow down Idiot, slow down, slow down

Sometimes I get overcharged That's when you see sparks You ask me where the hell I'm going At a thousand feet per second

Hey man slow down, slow down Idiot slow down, slow down

Hey man slow down, slow down Idiot slow down, slow down

  • @p00ned0wned Your google skills are unmatched.

  • This is POETRY...the lyrics speak to me..it 's as if they wrote the song about me..shit.

  • this is the song i wanna die to.

  • This was written by Jonny, by the way.

  • @CaptainPengu Long lofe for Jonny!

  • It's almost ironic that the best album to ever exist ends with a single chime.

But it's so perfect I couldn't imagine it ending any other way.

  • Is this not the best ending song of all time?!?!

  • Radiohead's music seems to tell two different stories with every song. Their music inspires one story while the lyrics tell another. There are few bands as musically talented as this one this day in age.

  • Perfection.

  • In my opinion, everyone here seems to really think they know their shit by citing books and wikipedia, I'm not saying analization of a great band can be fun, but honestly do any of you really think you know anything? You weren't there, just enjoy the music and stop overthinking this gem of a band.

  • This song is just.... wonderful.

  • Ok computer is wonderfull, historic!

  • Comment removed

  • Oh, Thom.

  • :23-:28 Greenwoods guitar riff sounds identical to the "you go to hell" lyric melody in Nude off In Rainbows 0-0

  • @zevi14 wow, it is. well Nude was actually written and performed in the OK Computer era.

  • ...

  • I start my morning jog to this song, best song for running.

  • @xRyaNx55

    "Heeeeeeyyyy man, slooow down!"

  • I don't get what Radiohead fans have against this song. I think it's the best track they've ended an album with. It's just as good as any other OKC song, and it feels appropriate. It's a warming, satisfying, dreamy end, not just to OKC but to their 'early' days in general (before they went experimental).

  • amazing song, sooo much better then the crap movie that shames its title

  • it's hard to say which album i like more: this or In Rainbows. In Rainbows literally only has masterpiece songs, all ten of them. There are songs on OK Computer that are not brilliant or that i can't stop listening to, but this track is not one of them.

  • @kadablanba man i've digging the thom yorke, burial, four tet. shit as of late. you should give it all a listen too if you like the queen of dismembered body parts

  • @kadablanba nice to see someone has apprieciation for king of limbs already. it's growing on me like an STD

  • this is probably my most favorite song ever

  • I may be go'n crazy but would some one please, please check out a song called "Sunday Morning" by Amanaz and tell me its just a coincidence that these song sound very similar.

  • @FreshMaterial

just gave sunday morning a listen, and youre not crazy. its hard to believe radiohead hadnt heard it before recording the tourist, some of those chord changes are exactly the same. not coincidentally, i love both songs. thanks for turning me onto amanaz, they have a cool sound

  • @MrMrRubberburner. I've checked it out too and it IS similar esp the instrumental start. Remarkable.

  • best album finisher ever? I think so. surprised there aren't more views

  • : D love

  • oh man what is that? suicide in nicely form_?

  • The story behind this song is really quite amusing, IMHO.

  • This is the song my friend said he wants to die to.

  • @FuzzyTomatoHole That's a bit morbid, but it kind of would be fitting. :P

  • Every Radiohead song makes me really happy and good about myself.

But there's something about this song thats just. . . It makes me feel lonely. . And happy at the same time. .

But it also makes me think about the afterlife. . .

This song is just too beautiful. . .

I cannot believe a human being can create such beautiful piece of art work.

It just mesmerizing that you can hear such beauty. . .

I don't what I would do with out radiohead. .

  • WOOT THE END OF THE 01 and 10 playlist. I MADE IT BITCHES!!! I sat through every last one of these slow boring (sometimes soothing) Radiohead songs. All my friends said I was crazy! but I did it! I Haven't Inflicted this much torture on myself since I decided to run/walk 12 miles. Any way the rating i give this playlist is actually way better than I had anticipated. Starting at 1/10 then peaked at 7.7/10, then came back down to 7/10. Not a mindblowing experience by any means

  • @AdrianvsJak It shouldn't be that difficult for you to listen to Radiohead. I gladly listen to the entire 01/10 playlist constantly.

  • Just listened to the full 01 and 10 album playlist.......brilliant. Only acception was watching a video of No Surprises with an asphyxiating astronaut Thom.......

  • 10 years later...

...map of the problematique - muse

  • @themongboy similar vocals, same chord progression....

  • @unclesamfatg muse sucks anyways

  • what are you telling us thom

  • @tolstoythegreat

I complete understand that feeling. Let Down is my theme to oxfords countryside though.

  • hey man slow down.

  • Absolutely great!!... It lacks a certain groove to my ears, though...
