  • It would have been a big game changer for scifi at the time. Like willow/tara in Buffy the vampire slayer.

  • Susan genuinely LOVED Talia, she admitted as much to Delenn when trading in her old Earth Force uniform for the new, INDEPENDENT B5 uniform.

  • Because of the time when this show was on TV it could only be seen as subtext. But the relationship between the two was obviously meant to be romantic from the very beginning. Remember in the episode where Talia is shown to be a spy? There is that moment where she reaches over in bed and no one is there, then she comments that Susan was gone. It doesn't get much more obvious than that. :P

  • So then....did any mutual carpet munching actually take place?

  • @GhibliFan1 no, but it was pretty heavily implied. If Talia hadn't left the show they would have developed it more fully.

  • Great!

  • LOVE THIS!! MY FAVE SUSAN TALIA VID!! m. xx

  • It's sad t.t that there was no chance for Talia and Susan but I enjoyed evvery moment they had while it lasted... nice vid!!!!!

  • oh talia ...the evil psi corps takes you away from me..:(

  • I suppose it was written so it could be viewed either way, but I don't know very many women who look so longingly at each other like that and sleep together in the same bed and it's still platonic!

  • @SciFiDude42 lol man

  • @SciFiDude42 They had to keep it as non-obvious as possible. Networks tend not to like gay couples, and two women together is ironically harder to get away with then two guys together.

  • ivanova did confess at the minbari renewal ceramony (completely forgotten the name) that she thought she loved talia

  • it was nvr platonic! i cnt rmbr whr i read it but if Andrea Thompson who played Talia; hadnt didnt had other wrk commitments then thts the direction tht thr relationhip was goin t take..

  • it was implied in the show, at a convention even the actress that played susan ivanova said that her character was bisexual. the actress that played talia winters actually left the show to pursue further acting options and if she had stayed may have progressed, they set her character up as replaceable just incase she did decide to leave.

  • also she says "i think i loved talia" to Deleen in a later episode.

  • @DamnationGame1 That is sooo MALE of you to think that when she said she thogh she loved her than she meant secually, i mean come on use your brain there are many types of love and the one she meant was love like as a sister.

  • @plutopianation So not male, but a big fan of Babylon 5. Fans of the show actually went on to ask the actress herself at the scifi conventions. She even went on to explain her character and that she was bisexual. She loved Talia and Marcus. The creators even discussed how they had to change the storylines after the actress playing Talia left the show to pursue her acting career.

  • @DamnationGame1 does that mean the whole lyta alexander story was born of talia leaving??

  • Fantastic, and so sad!

  • absolutely bueatiful video.

  • Very nice!!! Like it! Good job!

    But...the Susan/Talia - story wasn't just a subtext...

  • Very beautiful, very sad. Well done. Make more!
