@theholepicture It was in 2008! Do you remember it? I barely do, although I hear that music (in my head) every time I pass that stream they jump over in this video...near the bottom of the dam.
@enchilada01 I'll bet that answer depends on who you ask. I know I've lived here for fourteen years, and it wasn't until two years ago, I started seeing grizzlies. This particular bunch was together for at least two summers, so it was a treat to see four grizzlies all at once for quite some time. I would say their numbers have increased since I moved here.
Loved this as well as the ruffled grouse,.....I hope you were filming from a safe vantage point:-) !! early(antique) Steiff "teddy"bears have that cute elongated nose....as seen in the bear profile. a Wonderful post--the music was grand too:-)
This was probably shot in May then. Sounds about right! The bear videos get me so excited, i was editing and posting pretty much the same day as I filmed if possible.
Care Bears. If one gets hurt or is sick you know to contact the DEC right? thanx for sharing.
I've ran into a big brown bear like that at the Adirondaks on the Blue Trail, near Marcy's Dam. He was pretty big, he made the ground shake when he charged at me. I ran back as fast as I could.
Oh my gosh..are the bears out now?? I keep asking here when they will be out for the summer...such amazing creatures...lots of attacks here in Alberta...especially with hikers...amother great video.. 5*
These bears have been out for about three weeks or more now. Such a treat...as long as I'm in the car! A man walking below the Jackson Lake Lodge startled her and the cubs last summer and got bitten, but he survived.
Thanks coffeedude! I'll make another video with last night's footage tonight...after I sneak back up there for one more peek! Then it's time to buckle down and get my work hours in for the week!
Okay, Mrs. Tiggles it is! She's a very good mom, for a bear! Biologists aren't big on anthropomorphizing...that's why she got the numerical name. It's funny...everyone always asks, "where is she?" (When they mean, "where are they?")
Love it, Suz. Would you mine if i use some vids in my next project? "Mongolian Madness" it just fits so well. I will give you and the band all of the create. Please
Thanks Shannon! I was kinda scared this time. I stopped recording when mama bear got really close! I was in the car, but had the sunroof open, and then I went to the window cause I didn't want to stick my head out any more!
What a great day that was, I didn't recognize that scene, this must have been after I left. Why would I leave?
wonderful footage!

Yes, I like to shoot out the sunroof, and when the bears get close, I duck back in! They should be out again soon! Thanks for stopping by!

@Suzbekistan I wish they would send your surplus bears down to california instead of just hunting them, beatufull sight!
