  • REMEMBER THE ALAMO!!!

  • ...um they couldn't have sung something from 1776?

Oh Fozzie, you adorable miscasted bear. I love them all and don't really want to get into a debate about whether a character is gay or not.

That being said...Fozzie and Kermit had the cutest bromance ever!

  • kurmit this iz not funny*

  • How does whoever's in that costume see?

  • REMEEEEEMBERRRRR THE ALAMOOOOOO!!!

  • Favorite moments:

    - Big Bird calling out for the Muppet Show cast in addition to Kermit

    - Link Hogthrob shouting "Remember the Alamo!!!" @ 4:18

    - Floyd chanting "We will NOT be repressed!" when the play gets too hectic

    - "Song cue!" "You're welcome!", not to mention Bert & Ernie and Grover's cameo during the song

    - all of Piggy's bits

  • another time muppets and seasame street came together was in a muppets family christmas and every single muppet that had been made by that time was in it so was jim and doc the final scene pans out to see room full of muppets and in kitchen jim and sprocket are getting ready to do dishes while everyone else is enjoying new and old friendships while singing. muppet family christmas was in 88 or 89.

  • @majormana1 Plenty of existing Muppets were absent from that special.

  • Kinda funny that two of the biggest big government guys on the earth (Sheen and Lear) would put together an "I love liberty" special. Talk about spin!

  • lol i love the 2 guys who r in the movies that make fun of it

  • Check out a great Henson inspired group on Facebook - "Muppet Friday!". Join up and invite your friends...

  • Teeheehee...Waldorf and Stadler still up in their box and Sam just standing awkwardly in the corner. XD

  • "THIS MAD MAN!"

    "WOAH-HOHO!"

And Floyd chanting We will not be repressed. Must have been from his years in Woodstock.

  • That was so much fun! I'd never seen or heard of this before!

  • Epic

  • I was going to use this for school abotu the continental congress, but it doesn't really seem all that relevent. lol

  • i love this thanks for posting...how come they don't do anything lie this anymore?

  • wow.

  • Is that stage in the shape of a swastika?

  • 4:17 "REMEMBER THE ALAMO!!"

  • i Love Big Bird

  • @Jennennett

He is the soul of Sesame Street while Elmo is the heart

  • This is by far one of their best live perfomances. I anyone has footage from their appearance on the Royal Varity show from 1977, please upload it. Thanks.

  • They are not queer!

  • I am so sick of speculations that BigBird, or any of the other Muppets are gay! Bug off!

  • @LivingCrusader Big Bird gay?-He doesn't even have GENITALS!!

  • Which is what makes those who think he or any of the Muppets are, immeasurably retarded.

  • @LivingCrusader

    By definition..they are "Gay":

    # Showing or characterized by cheerfulness and lighthearted excitement; merry.

    # Bright or lively, especially in color

  • @MrsPippinBaggins And i´m pretty sure that a)you truly don´t know how to write and b)you´ve got nothing better to do than to speculate about the sexuality of t.v. show characters.

  • this is hilarious =D

  • Woah, I thought that Brotherhood of Man song was from How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.... Still great though!

  • haha =] so cute

  • How will it end? For us? How else....SONG CUE!! Classic. Thanks so much for posting this. It was everything I love about the muppets, with Grover thrown in besides.

  • USA! USA! USA! This is an awesome video! Thanks for uploading it!

  • i always thought big bird was scary... but i think he's kinda cute in tuxedo outfit.

  • That's not the same Big Bird voice I remember from when I was a youngun..

  • His vocabulary's more advanced than usual, but otherwise I'm pretty sure it's the same actor.

  • "your 4 score and seven years two years early" good one, nice one.

  • when was this aired?

  • lol I just spotted the swastika on the stage too! Nobody noticed it at the time?!

  • dude i know i was like wtf???

  • Lol, wooow. the lines are straight from the "1776" play. Great with muppets! lol

  • Wow! I never knew this even happened. And I still get surprised when I see the combination of Muppet Show and Sesame Street characters like that!

  • I am just waiting for them to break into song with "Sit Down, John."

  • Is it just me or is the stage shaped like a swastika?

  • almost.

  • lmao, it kinda does...

  • Awesome! It's great to see such rare, vintage footage. Thanks for sharing!

  • Remember the Alamo?! Classic!! Thanks for posting!

  • i want the muppets to have a triumphant return... Frank Oz needs to get off his high horse and help restore the muppet magic...

  • omg, i couldn't agree more with you!

  • Wow! I am so glad you posted this clip. I loved that special when it aired back in the 80's! That sketch with the muppets was just as cute and funny as it was back then!

I don't suppose you have the one with Robin Williams as the flag. That would be great to see again.

  • the muppets are awsome.

  • Just saw "John Adams" series. Perfect for reintroducing this early history. Gives this well-done clip more context.

  • I flippin love that Rat and that Meep Meep guy! {^.^}

oh oh and that shrimp thing!!!

  • Help! History is repeating itself.

  • My duty for July 4th-

Did you know CONCENTRATION CAMPS have been built in the USA??

See my channel for the video proof...

  • So whats new ? What do you think the japanese were stuck into during wwII ?

  • Gods bless Jim Henson!

  • Yes, Goddess bless Jim Henson, too.

  • Perfect timing. Need this clip to explain to other people why England is bad.

  • The title should actually be "The Muppets on the Second Continental Congress and the Declaration of Independence."

  • MASpeece is right. The Constitutional Convention didn't happen until 1787.

  • MASpeece is right. The Constitutional Convention didn't happen until 1787.

  • An apt reminder -- it's not just about fireworks.

  • Indeed- women were left out!!! to be perfectly accurate, this presentation should have also mentioned that blacks and natives were not present at this Convention....and played NO part in the formation of the Declaration of Independence...

  • No official part, certainly -- but Miss Piggy could have played Abigail Adams, whose letters to John argued powerfully for women's rights.

  • In the brotherhood of men...

    and WOMEN! XD

  • Whose name did Big Bird say after Kermit's?

  • Never Mind

  • Scooter.

  • WOW! I didn't even know this existed!
