For those who hated Akari for the movie, it seems you don't understand well. Well i'm not saying that i' not sorry for what happened to Tohno. But in the last part of the movie, it shows that after Tohno and Akari met, they told each other that they would write letters to each other, but then no one seemed to take the initiative to start the conversation, or maybe because they didn't actually exchange addresses.
