I adopted a huge 8 month brasilian mastif three months ago because when I looked into his eyes I saw sadness, he is been my buddy, my brother and he is also sleeping on my bed cause is freezing cold outside. He is happy now, hes became part of my loved ones. I dont mind if my bed ends full of hair cause he doe´sn´t mind when I leave him alone when I have to work. we eat together, walk,travel and sleep in the same room... Just put my dog Amber down. she and her sister were stray's. we got her from a local shelter where her sister had just been adopted. we had her for 3 weeks, by the first 5 days we knew she was sick. she had dis temper. Can't stop thinking how much i will miss her.
I cried alot during this and I'm still in tears. I lost my beloved doxie Spencer on the 19th of April at the age of 12 1/2. I had adopted him in 2009 from my neighbor because Spencer had jealousy issues with their new baby.. He was my friend and faithful companion and his passing has left me with a hole in my heart and in my life. Great post thanks. I work in animal rescue so I have seen things like that before you just want to scoop up the poor little guys and give them everything they should have had but didnt. But first lets go to the animal abusers and cancel there life insurance retroactively. If ppl like that are aloud to live it encourages other scumbags to be themselves.
My dog saved my life, without me even realizing it. I had very bad diabetes, high blood pressure, and substance abuse/depression problems. He came round like an angel sent from heaven. He has helped me lose weight, my a1c is normal now, and whenever I have the worst day imaginable-it doesn't matter to him. I am here with him and that is the ONLY thing he cares about.

We should be so lucky to have God's amazing animals who give us nothing but love. Sometimes that is all we have. What country were those scumbag police from...shooting that poor animal? IF the dog was that bad, they could have very well tranquilized it, and then put him down humanley. Scumbags!

This wasn't what I expected and I am haunted and tramatized by the horror I saw. Dogs are the best. My dogs have never hurt me or let me down. They are my best friends. A lot of times I prefer their company over humans.

@xmelziipoffx That much is obvious. Love is visceral and dogs are very visceral creatures or creatures that rely purely on instinct, so why can't they love? Well if we define love as subservience then no human has loved because humans are of independent thought, sure you could in theory domesticate a human but our programming instinctively rebels against it. Thats very different from the programming of the canine species whom are descendants of camp wolves.

why do dogs love us? Think about it. We take them away forever from thier parents, destroy there posible X-Envirionment, SOMETIMES we treat them good we hurt them make them mad but yet all they do is love us nomatter what. Dogs are truly amazing from pitbull to yorkie they are all still the same. they dont care if you evan kill them they love you. THINK ABOUT IT. Great post thanks. I work in animal rescue so I have seen things like that before you just want to scoop up the poor little guys and give them everything they should have had but didnt. But first lets go to the animal abusers and cancel there life insurance retroactively. If ppl like that are aloud to live it encourages other scumbags to be themselves.

My dog saved my life, without me even realizing it. I had very bad diabetes, high blood pressure, and substance abuse/depression problems. He came round like an angel sent from heaven. He has helped me lose weight, my a1c is normal now, and whenever I have the worst day imaginable-it doesn't matter to him. I am here with him and that is the ONLY thing he cares about.
I fear I would die without him in my life.

This year, in March I met a 9-year-old husky mix named Bubba. From the moment i saw him, i knew he was a forever dog. It took 1 week for me to realize that i would take a bullet for him any day. I would happily die for any of my animals.

I cried!! I love dogs sooooo much!! I have had 9 dogs since i was born, and i am now 14! I had dog since i was 2 and we had to put her down October 22 2009. She was precious!
When it said "They will wait till late until you get back" my grandma and grandpa's dog, after my grandpa passed away, he would wait on my grandpa's chair, waiting for him to come home, and i think he still does it today! :'(
