I've lived in AZ all my life (18 years) and Flag is a very nice place. Skiing is pretty popular up there, other than that just hang out around the town and relax :D Prescott is very similar to Flag, in the mountains, but not desert mountains they are covered in nice green trees. Also, about the house thing, Arizona has a lot of ridiculously cheap houses now so you shouldn't have a trouble with finding a good one.

@ilovelax06 I've been to DC. I think in 8th grade we went on a week long field trip there. The lack of sleep or bus ride might have played a factor but I honestly hated it. The lack of grass and trees was depressing. This was also after 9/11 so people were super serious about everything.

1:53 and 5:12 A lot of people go to the Grand Canyon thinking there's not much to do other than get out of the car, snap a few photos, and get back in. DO THE BRIGHT ANGLE TRAIL HIKE! You'll see the sedimentary strata of the canyon and (hopefully) appreciate it more than if it were just a pit stop. It's ~9.5 miles though and will kick your ass if you aren't ready for it.

@Drift0r haha where most people live in AZ is in the phoenix metro area. phoenix branches off into several smaller cities... only 2 hrs away from flagstaff. I personally think a place you may want to go is Sedona,AZ where the mountains are a beautiful red color. not far from flagstaff.
