hey symone, great to see that you're exploring new fun things and introducing it. it's been a long hiatus since taking class or doing it again. can't wait til you're back from pole dancing camp and joining your class again
questions, questions: the hoop is looking like it offers a lot of opportunities to move and to have fun - how did you fix it in the ceiling to be safe? - and: are the poles fixed in ceiling and floor or are they removable, because I was reading different statements about the safety of removable poles. Could you recommend one? I would like to have this opportunitiy at home too - without crashing. Would be very nice of you to post an answer...
The pole that I used is removable and not connected to the ceiling apart from the pressure applied between floor and ceiling. I think they are VERY safe as long as you use the right amount of pressure between the 2 and not less. The ones that I can recommend are Platinum stages, x-pole and lilmynx poles. As for the hoop we drilled through the concrete ceiling and used an expander nut then bolted the eye bolt in and also used epoxy for cement just to secure it in even further. Hope that helps.
I bought the hoop from a local steel shop but as for measurements they say that you should measure from your butt to your head when you are sitting down and add 2 inches. That will be the diameter of the hoop you require.
Wow, that looked like a lot of fun, Symone! Looks like you had the hoop custom fitted to your frame--it seems to fit you perfectly! Two poles, an aerial hoop and so many talented dancers-- sounds like a recipe for a great party! Loved the sense of humour in your "costume:, LOL!
I WANT ONE, but i doubt i'd get my way with that, it took me moneth to get hubby to let me have the pole, but if i ever go single again, which may happen, lol, i want a hoop to. great job honey, lovely lil hoop:)
Wow, I'm so jealous of your hoop, ha ha!! Awesome vid, you guys looked like you had a good time. Where did you get your pole crash mat if you don't mind my asking. I've been looking for one forever!

I went to a steel shop and gave the size that I needed and had it made. Then I got bike handle grip and covered it for better grip.
