  • Jackie as far as I'm concerned and I bet millions of Americans would agree you are a national treasure! You are simply the best of the best that America has to offer and you represented America beautifully. We are all proud of you Jackie and proud to be an American!

  • Simon is right! She's incredible.

  • It's my thought that the winner of AGT went to London to preform on BGT, I never knew it was second place that went if not, I hope London didn't get upset about it. lol

  • Hey Simon....It's not magic. God's playing the straight man as the Phantom Of The Opera...

Guess which role Jackie is playing!

  • I hope they don't over train her to sound like the standard opera singer. Help her...but leave her alone and let her express naturally. She is a special gift...and if it ain't broke...don't fix it.

  • @Kirkunik1 She has said she doesn't want to sing opera. He parents don't want her to either. She did tweet today that she thinks she's losing vocal range because her voice is changing. I hope not. :(

  • @dieseldog00 I think it will be just as good if her voice does change a little, she could start singin more songs like Lean on me, Thousand stars, songs like that, not that I don't love the songs she sings now. I didn't think a girl's voice change much as they get older. If Jackie could train her voice at 8 she should not have any trouble doing the same at 18. Jackie is a master of perfection.

  • @Kirkunik1 My sentiments exactly, she's starting to sound a little too polished on some of her most recent videos.

  • Fantabuloso, or something.

  • A wonderful video of an evan "Wonderfuller" child with an evan "Wonderfullerer" voice.

  • Jackie you're wonderful, but it's sights not sites when you are in London please

  • @Brit4627 o for goodnes sake you stuffy person. get a life!

  • @jeek78 Just the millions of people who didn't wake up with a hang over and make an ass of themselfs.

  • I agree with Simon Cowell. If there's no one behind the curtain it has to be magic. What other explanation is there.

  • @Queegzzz The other explanation is she is Jenny Lynn reincarnated.

  • @Queegzzz

Well...one theory that has been advanced is that the Creator Of The Universe dropped her off on our pathetic little planet as his herald to protect us from the coming of Nibiru.

  • Songs I think are ideal for Jackie: "Solveig's Song from Grieg's Peer Gynt; "Once Upon A Time In The West" and "Deborah's Theme (Once Upon a Time In America)" by Ennio Morricone (Jackie has already recorded his "Nella Fantasia"); "The Sound of Music" by Rodgers & Hammerstein; "Lascia Ch'io Pianga"; "Mon Coeur S'ouvre a Ta Voix"; "In Paradisum"; "Sancta Maria"; "Shenandoah"; "Summertime"`(Gershwin); "Song to the Moon" (Dvorak) and "Chi il bel sogno di Doretta" from Puccini’s opera, "La Rondine"

  • More than any other, I see Jackie's voice evolving to sound something like that of the Norwegian soprano, Sissel Kerkjybo, more popularly known as Sissel. Apparently so do those who produce Jackie and select her songs: she shares much of the same repertoire as Sissel, even the same arrangements. This provides some predictability of future recordings, and I imagine Jackie to score an invitation to sing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on some future Christmas day, like Sissel did.

  • I know what it is..God decided that it was time to share a little piece of heaven on earth..so he sent this angel and her voice to us as a gift.

  • You would never know she was the best singer in in the world :41

  • She is an Angel among us, no doubt about it !!

  • I bet you that a lot of the Brits there never heard of Jackie and were seeing her for the first time. They had to have been thinking, are the people of America crazy, how can anyone top this, and where are they at and why are they not here.

  • What the hell is gob smacked?

  • @bparno Hi pal! It means "stunned", because your "gob" is your face, so to be smacked in the gob is to be stunned.

  • @KaptKan1 thanks.

  • 1:26 slow down you will fall and be hurt.

  • At 2:05 the women backing Jackie up had a look on their face like they were stun. The one on left more so. Wonder why they were in full dress and Jackie not.

  • @littlejackrussell I was watching this again and was going to commit on exactly what you did.

Then I saw your commit. She was the most stunned. It looks like she forgot to sing her

back up part for a little there.

  • @tonirdel1 I read a comment that said there was to much hype about her singing and she was making millions off a novelty. Well she can make all the millions she wants as long as I get to hear her million dollar voice. Thats makes me just as rich as Jackie.

  • She is without a doubt the very best.

  • @bparno Jackie would undoubtedly agree she lacks the emotional depth of her adult contemporaries. After all, in early interviews, she said she didn't know what Puccini's "O Mio Babbino Caro" was about and recently said she "thinks" [Handel's] 'Ombra Mai Fu' is "something about flowers". And her performances of both have never varied as to reflect greater depth of either. So let's keep perspective here -- for her sake. She's bright, and frankly, it gives us something to look forward to.

  • @RoboSlater While my opinions may differ slightly from yours, and jackie's musical knowledge is one of a child of only eleven years old, she certainly does not lack in the gifts that she has been given, nor the courage to present herself on a worldly stage as is hers by pure talent which of course has delighted millions as we are drawn to what in my perception is nothing short of miraculous. So while I respect your ability to expound your intelligent observations, my opinion has not changed.

  • @bparno We all agree she is gifted. Fortunately, her music are standards among divas and crossover singers, so comparisons about emotional depth are plentiful. I want my "O Mio Babbino Caro" to communicate near suicidal desperation and yearning, like Puccini intended. It's not ALL about the singer. Maria Callas and Anna Netrebko know they owe the composer something. Jackie's appeal is mainly her cuteness, seamless delivery, high notes -- fine, but not what Puccini receives elsewhere.

  • @PatrioticGloryWhy on earth are you on this site then if this is not what you want? Jackie is just a little girl of eleven years old with a miraculous voice, and of course she has yet to show an emotional attachment to the role Pucccini had in mind when he wrote this piece. Perhaps one day she will, for that is what I would hope for, but for now I will rejoice in the splendor and gladness that she adds to my being as I find her a most delightful child

  • @bparno Your question makes no sense to me. But I'll bite. I'm here on a public site because I choose to be. And I gave an opinion because I chose to do so. I wanted to advance the chatter beyond the mundane and repetitious two-cent fawning and fandom and contribute something meaningful, as one does when one respects the reader. Your defensiveness is nothing if not a little weird. Knowing a lyric soprano from a dramatic soprano has value, as does knowing where Jackie's real potential lies.

  • @PatrioticGlory Yes thanks again, but this site is not about you. or your values in a singer.

  • @bparno You're welcome. You seem to be making it about me. I've been discussing Jackie's singing and repertoire. As discussions do, I've learned that there are many types of sopranos, and that Jackie might properly be classified as a "soubrette", a classification that often gives way to other classifications as a young soprano's voice changes over time. These are things that add to knowledge, and knowledge is valued by some.

  • @PatrioticGlory "I wanted to advance the chatter beyond the mundane and repetitious two cent fawning and fandom and contribute something meaningful, as one does when one respects the reader?" These were your words were they not, I think it a bit rude to classify someone else's comments, and to consider your own comments as meaningful. Let's not be disrespectful please.

  • @bparno Not only do I classify comments, I embrace free speech in lots of other ways. For example, I know you're liberal. You wonder, "how did he know?" I classified. Liberals are always confronted by things that aren't part of the groupthink, and ignore real substance to focus merely on expression. This insight says it all: I know who you voted for in '08, that you'll vote for him again, your views on issues. Classifying is healthy. In rejecting liberalism, one gains access to life/freedom.

  • @RoboSlater Wow what a play on words, going from praising a beautiful blessed child to mind reading other comments, you must be the reincarnation of Karnac the magnificent, or just another troll looking to stick his finger in someone else's eye. What exactly does your comments have to do with this wonderful gifted child, I know don't tell me, absolutely 0. Please try not to let your brain trick your heart child.

  • @bparno Could I be communicating with a split personality? It seems odd, are RoboSlater, and PatrioticGlory one and the same? Ah the plot thickens with every stroke of the keyboard. tune in folks for the cyberspace mystery of the new year.

  • @littlejackrussell12 So then, you speak for the WE, and not the I, my comment that began all this b.s., was that Jackie is the very best. I will stick by that comment since this site is about jackie, not politics, or others opinions of others. Have a nice day to you, and the mouse in your pocket.

  • @bparno I did say WE I was wrong and for that I am sorry. You are right Jackie is the best of the best. I was not trying to make anyone mad, I just so badly put my point across.

  • @littlejackrussell12 No my friend your point was well taken, this site does not need any bickering, it actually distracts from the real purpose we all are here to enjoy, the simple beauty of jackie's amazing voice.. Again have a wonderful day.

  • @bparno You also. I am not the guardian alone of Jackie's sites, I over stap my bounds with, /we/ and it will never happen again.

  • @RoboSlater I am not saying what party I am in GOP or DIM I could be a part of your"s or not. One way or other you don't belong with any. Shame on you, you are not helping yours to come on this sweet child's site and talk like that. There are both partys here that love this child.

  • Is there something negative about her??? NO... Nobody's brilliant but Jackie is just Amazing in every way!

  • I'm glad you enjoyed London, my home town. I absolutely adore your beautiful voice. John

  • 0:57 Just AMAZING!!!!!!!! And really,really beautyful.

  • What I am seeing & hearing in this clip is a little girl having the time of her life. Jackie on that bus singing London Bridge the same as any little girl off the street. Dancing and runing wild, the same as any kid would do. The road was laid down two and a half years ago when the first note came from her little lips. That note has taken her family all over the world, guessing first class. All that from loving something that makes her happy. she is a true gift from God.

  • Jackie is the personification of beauty - vocally, physically, and spiritually. To know her is to love her.

  • i so love her personality she is soo beautiful inside and out and her voice makes me cry

  • 1:00-1:09...THAT'S AMAZING...without a microphone!!! DAMN!!

  • shes's amazing!! and yet so childish shes soo cute :D

  • Great, really great. The best look yet at Jackie the person. The scene of jackie with her coach singing Nessun Dorma without music gave me instant chills and the realization of what a truly wonderful voice she has.

  • you are the best!

  • I've noticed that when Jackie's in front of a large audience in a big auditorium she just lights up and glows......It IS magic.

  • I wonder how Hollie Steel feels about Jackie's singing on BGT. The two of them are about the same age.

  • @jayseah32 Holly has said on her site that she admires Jackie. I would think that Jackie feels the same way.

  • @polarbytes: That's most likely correct. Thanks

  • @jayseah32

Jackie was scheduled to sing at Carnegie Hall in New York before she went on AGT but she was unable to do it after wards so they flew Hollie Steel in to take her place and it was reported that Hollie did a great job. So that helped Hollie Steel get some name recognition in the USA.

  • @richardoky Thanks for that info. I never made it there after hearing Jackie cancelled out, and did not know they had Hollie take her place. I remember watching Hollie on BGT and was most impressed with her audition.

  • This is awesome, everytime I watch this, it brings happiness and tears of happiness. Absolutely amazing! WOW!!!!!

  • Gobsmacked i like it.

  • @ACEGREY

I must learn to use that word. :D "Gobsmacked"

  • I think is amazing when she goes from being a super star to a lttle girl. Some one didn't care for her saying "more funnier". That is much the same as her "fantabuloso". She's a great kid and a wonderful singer.

  • @MrBill5696 If you were to prevue this video again you would hear her not using the word funner as in funnier referring to ha ha but instead funner as in more fun. But you are right, she has a marvelous voice and is a treasure to watch.

  • what song is that please telll me :)

  • @livelovelaughyme nessun dorma.

  • @MultiUlme Thanks I figured it out but thank you anyway :)

  • @livelovelaughyme Aretha Franklin, of all people, was the first female singer I ever heard take the traditionally male aria, "Nessun Dorma" [None Shall Sleep] from Puccini's Turandot and record it to great effect. It was the encore of the late great Luciano Pavarotti, whom many (including myself) believe delivered the best performances of it.

  • Such a sweet child...<3 I think i love her (no homo)

  • so humble so nice so great.

  • Very nice video. Love the insight into her world. It makes our world a bit better. God speed Jackie.

  • @:55 I bet her vocal teacher or who ever that is in the background is floored every time this child comes in from playing, hide and seek and transforms into a proessional singer, at the blink of an eye.

  • @littlejackrussell That's Yvie Burnett, who has worked with Susan Boyle, and many other contestants from the X Factor UK as well. Yvie was a former opera singer. A lot of credit should go towards her coaching too, though she mainly stays behind the scenes.

  • @iron2max I am guessing you are talking about the lady we saw in clip. Very good on her part doing it well. What about when Jackie first started to sing, Surely she had no teacher. On 20/20 her dad said she was singing around the house and they thought all little girls sound like that. Did her mom start teaching her? I think it's very interesting. You sound as you may know more then the clips are telling us. Please not trying smart with, you it may sound as if I am.

  • @littlejackrussell According to a couple of sources I've read, Yvie started coaching on season 5 of America's Got Talent around June 2010, so it would seem that Jackie received coaching during the contest. She also helped Jackie prepare her voice before her 1st album and thereafter. You can read about Yvie's short bio on Wikipedia. Yvie also made a couple of mentions of coaching on her Twitter page. Even the best athletes need coaching, so it's not surprising that Jackie receives direction.

  • @littlejackrussell You can watch a couple of interviews with Yvie on Youtube as well, if you're interested. Just search "Yvie Burnett interviews". I read that Jackie took some vocal lessons when she was younger as well, but it was not mentioned with whom. Even though Jackie's a child prodigy, she needs training to further develop and protect her voice. Another child prodigy some years back singing the same type of music was Charlotte Church, but I read that eventually she ruined her voice.

  • @iron2max Thanks you for the info. I am very interested you have helped a lot.

  • @dieseldog00 I was thinking that myself, and a find job she did. I love running across clips where she is taking lessons

  • @intermenater i totally disagree with you i think that jackie is perfect the way she is and by perfect i mean 100% perfect better than anyone cuter than anyone. and shes just so beautiful the way she is.

  • jackie you'll always have us, if we always have you as you, so don't ever change.

  • I really want an act which has like thousands of dominos and when she sings on the highest note they all tople

  • Jackie Evancho's favorite word is "amazing." :>) Which is just fine with me.

  • Why does she always bring tears to my eyes??? Why, Jackie, why? :)

  • @gwenUTUBE Why does Jackie bring tears to your eyes? Because she gives you, and us all, JOY.

Because Jackie (and her born-genius) gives us all that belief that, amidst all the seemingly endless evidence (natural disasters, murderers, cancers, other 'tragedies') suggesting that there just might not be a God, that there very much is.

  • @gwenUTUBE Here goes: .Much has been written on the "bell-like" quality of Jackie's voice and the emotional influence it has upon the listener. The soul responds to the pureness of a bell in a special way because it is believed that it constellates something archetypal and universal within the psyche. In the symbology of dreams, for example, the bell is considered a signifier of divine communication, a reminder of something, or a dreamer's conscience...(continued below)

  • @gwenUTUBE In a universal sense, bells may signify a call to worship. Allow me to quote something from Joseph Campbell concerning the significance of the bell:

"The bell [considered feminine]is the 'illumined mind'; its note is the beautiful sound of eternity that is heard by the pure mind of creation, and therefore within itself.... Precisely the same bell is rung at the Christian Mass at the moment when God,...(continued below)

  • @gwenUTUBE... through the power of words of the consecration, descends into the bread and wine.

In other religious traditions, the reading of the meaning of such a consecration is stated this way: The Jewel is in the Lotus."

It is said that "melody has power a whole world to transform." And that, "forever, music will remain the universal language of men, angels, and spirits." (contnued)

  • She started singing "London Bridge Is Falling Down" when the bus was halfway across ROFL. :D :D

  • @intermenater are you friggin out of your mind?! she is still growing. she is absolutely beautiful in every way!

  • She does really sing! This video proves it. and she's living her dream.

  • Is it possible to have a celebrity who isn't fake of phony in some way? Well, I reckon Jackie is proof that at least one exists. But wait, she isn't merely a "celebrity", she is a STAR -- in every way possible and an inspiration for the whole world. I pray that she remains just as she is. No "stuck-up stuff" as she explained in an interview with Sharon Osborne.

  • @intermenater Don't do a thing with her teeth! 100% natural. Nothing fake or phony. Don't change a think Jackie.

  • Jackie is precious beyond belief in many ways. She is a very rare gem whose brilliance is blossoming forth across the globe, and she is medicine for all of humanity. Keep letting your love-light shine, sweet angel.

  • I believe that imperfect teeth adds individuality so I don't mind if her teeth aren't straight. Besides, any process to straighten them may affect her voice so why take the chance?

Yep, she is perfect as she is and I thank God for her.

Also, I agree with DocDLH that this is the best behind-the-scenes video of Jackie we've seen to date. Thanks very much to whomever is responsible for uploading this.

  • You are an idiot.

Who the hell cares about teeth. This little girl is a national treasure and she needs to be allowed to live out her childhood as a child.

  • All that totally amazing talent and ability and enormous passion to succeed and do it right, and it is so nice to see she is just a normal sweet little girl who loves her siblings and those around her, when not singing her heart out.

  • My fav behind the scenes vid of Jackie so far!

  • @camycamo4 My favorite one as well.

  • It's refreshing to see Jackie be not only a "kid" but a "kid sister" who obviously loves her brother... I guess it's her humanity that highlights her "angel on earth" transformation... simply delightful.
