@nissansentraglx Ha, yeah I looked up this scene after reading that too. He had the most lean mass it seems in that scene for sure. Iirc his body fat was at its all time low though during the shooting of Rambo 2. I read at one point he dropped down to below 3% body fat. Sounds like bs though.

Advances in theatrical technology does not automatcially make today's movies better.

The movies from the 80's possessed a much stronger element of rawness and emotion. Today's movies are far two artificial for anyone with half a brain to enjoy.

There are some exceptions, such as the Jason Bourne series, but for the most part, today's action movies are over-produced crap.

No, I don't do martial arts, and I met my wife many years after that movie was made, but it IS cool that my wife and her family had that experience. She says it took the film crew over a week to turn her family's boat-making facility into the building where the fight is staged and then to film the scene. She and her family still own the property and still call it the "Rambo House." She used to swim in the river you see Rambo catch the boat on, and to catch a boat herself from the same place.

Yes, my wife is Thai. But I didn't meet her in Thailand. I "met" her online where we corresponded for months before meeting for real at a local Thai restaurant. She lived not too far from me in the San Francisco Bay area. Yes, I saw that movie when it came out, and the stickfighting scene made an indelible impression on me. Imagine my delighted surprise when my wife told me where it was filmed and showed me the photo. Good for you that you study those martial arts!
